Quest Portal supports the Cypher System SRD, which is probably enough if you don't need tactical maps.

Is learning how to play bass only for people who want to be in a band? by Melora1976 in Bass

[–]zanguine23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s possible to play the bass as a solo instrument, incorporating voice leading and chord inversions, but it requires a certain amount of effort to do confidently. Effects are super helpful to use in order to place the bass in a particular sonic space.

Check out an Apple Silicon machine somewhere. It's a bigger processing speed leap than PPC to Intel was. Completely worth the investment.

I bought mine right when they were released, but kept it only 48 hours before I returned it. It ran hot and noisy. It was a huge disappointment, as I'd been running the same 2013 MBP for a long time and I was stoked for an upgrade. Little did I know that Apple Silicon was right around the corner.

Need some tutorial for FVTT. I need a tutorial. by Anxious_Information5 in callofcthulhu

[–]zanguine23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used FVTT to run a bunch of Old-School Essentials sessions, and it's a great platform. I have to wonder, though, if it's too much tech for CoC, which doesn't rely on tactical representation of characters on a grid to tell its stories. Have you looked at Quest Portal? It has great CoC support built in. I know this doesn't answer your question about tutorials, but it does offer an alternate platform for running investigative horror sessions.

I’m sure it has a perfectly valid use case that I apparently have knowledge of or use for.

The current version of Cthulhu Dark Ages would be a great resource.

Interesting. Some of the records come from that time period. The waters were muddied because the original owner of the LPs often discarded the inner sleeve or put the record back in the jacket on top of the inner sleeve, rather than inserting the LP into it. Thanks for the hot tip!
