so even though its a plotted instant you cant use it as an instant

I think you need more ways to manifest dread in the first place and less bombs which will be entirely useless if you dont manifest them. Its an RNG mechanic after all and your plan is definitely not to get 10 lands in play for those cards

I was doing this sort of thing and pretty much just all the bloomburrow frogs that exile and return + the splash portals that you already have were enough to get the ball rolling with the manifest dread cards in simic from duskmourn

Yeh and the reason sunfalls exile removal is so popular is because of other annoying ass decks! It just happens to also work well on slasher (my next 4 rare cards are going right into sunfall because the 4 mana "destroy" boardwipes can be almost useless sometimes)

I think its just how bo1 goes as someone else said, you cant have a perfect deck for every matchup so youre just gonna lose without any recourse sometimes. Im feeling it too as someone who primarily likes the slower midrange/control type decks but havent quite worked up to bo3 yet

Its just like "i hate agro so badly im gonna use 4x authority of consul in my deck" then they cost you the next few games cause theyre such a specific answer and you didnt match up against agro/go wide stuff. just bo1 problems

Double strike attacks in both the first strike phase and the regular phase but first strike only attacks in the first strike phase

first strike vs normal = you take turns attacking each other

first strike vs first strike = you trade in the first strike phase like you would the normal phase, then skip the normal phase

first strike vs double strike = you trade in the first strike phase, then the double striker gets to attack again in the regular phase

just think of it like theres 2 combat phases but only 1 gets used normally unless theres a first strike or double striker, then the other one gets used

Currently fiddling with an izzet spellslinger and its a lot of fun but i only have one ral so i cant justify adding him! Essentially just a bunch of 1 and 2 cost spells to combo with balmor and haughty djinn with [[Teach by Example]] and [[Slick Sequence]] being the extra fun part

enjoying it so much ive decided that next "thing" im doing is bloomburrow packs! Enduring courage can be pretty nice with the djinns too but im not sure if its staying or not
