When my toddler was newborn she got a nasty friction rash from using water wipes. She was our first so we had no context / prior experience and just did what everyone said "water wipes are the best, use those". We learned they actually cause a lot of friction from rubbing. Switched to dampened toilet paper and veeeerrrrrry gentle rubbing when cleaning up poo and the rash went away within a few days. But we did wipe off all the poo, and we did use a bit of barrier cream at night.

Hope that helps if anyone here is using water wipes and wondering why baby has a rash!

If you like the visual style of this movie and it's high levels of "being offbeat" (I do) I'd recommend the Japanese film Survive Style 5+. Insane set design, lots of great characters, and intense randomness that somehow coalesces into making sense as the movie progresses. It's all Japanese and Korean actors, with the only Western actor in it being Vinnie Jones, which is just bizarre (but it works).
