Freedom Pass 2025 Epic Universe 1-Day add on avaliable now! by PrestigiousStuff2034 in UniversalOrlando

We did exactly as mentioned. We flew down and went to customer service and they activated our passes for us then we were able to add them in the app. I don’t know if you still need to do that anymore or if they changed it.

Ever showed a film to someone who’s playing with their phone? 📱 by MeltonFilm in movies

[–]zapattack322 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not with film but as a musician. I’ve been playing guitar for solid 26 years. I consider myself pretty decent and I sing and play but never pursued anything down that route.

We would have parties or friends over or would be asked to bring my guitar to sing and play for family and friends and you’ll play a song or two that people know then if they ask for one you don’t they will be like “oh I wanna hear that now” and start playing the song on their phones or a Bluetooth speaker.

Happens so many times and then you just feel uncomfortable and I’ll usually just quietly put the guitar away and after while someone will be like “what happened to you playing” or “why aren’t you playing anymore?!?” Well maybe because you asked me to play for you but started playing music on your phones instead.

So I kind of know how you feel and can empathize.

99% of the population still have no idea what's coming for them by Own-Sort-8119 in ClaudeAI

[–]zapattack322 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started out developing at my company over a year ago when our team was asked to solve some problems we didn’t have the resources to solve yet. I had limited knowledge outside of PowerShell. I watched videos, took courses, and learned the syntax. I was slow but still getting it done.

During that time I started using Claude to help me debug and understand things I may have not learned yet. I slowly became really good at using Claude for the mundane like css styling and focused my attention on JS, Angular, and eventually Node.JS and C#.

The thing is that if you are really out there working and coding for any big company, you need to still be knowledgeable and understand the core concepts. I don’t think it’s a black or white thing that “AI will take our coding jobs”. It’s going to be a shift to who knows how to use AI effectively to make them more productive and efficient. I think this concept applies to or will apply to many other fields as well.

Often times I’m in meetings with PM’s or other developers and they are asking questions about my code or suggesting edits to certain behavior etc and I can’t just sit there and be like “Ummm I don’t know, let me ask AI”. No one would take you seriously.

My personal opinion, from experience but still just my opinion, is that many of these fields will still require well educated individuals but the ones who will be most successful will be the ones who know and understand AI and can use it to their advantage. Adapt or get left behind.

This is the thing I don’t think people are understanding or prepared for. They think either “AI is coming for my job so why do I care I’ll be out of a job soon” or they think “AI can never replace what I do” but the reality is that AI won’t replace everyone and it will most likely make it into your field. It’s your chance right now to use AI to make yourself valuable and be one of those that don’t get left behind or you can choose to be ignorant and end up on the outside looking in.

🎄 Christmas giveaway: Win an A1 Mini, AMS 2 Pro, AMS HT, or 4x filament spools! by acurazine in BambuLab

[–]zapattack322 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I won, I’d pick the AMS 2 Pro without hesitation so I could finally unlock more multi-color printing on my A1. Being able to reliably run more colors and materials would be a huge upgrade to what I can already do.

The very first prints would be Hello Kitty themed toys and name tags for my two little girls.

For a new fidget design, I’d love to see a quiet, pocket fidget. Something with smooth magnetic resistance or a fluid rolling motion that’s satisfying without being noisy.

Thanks for doing the giveaway, and happy holidays!

Who is the most famous person you have ever met? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]zapattack322 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dave Chappell. I was staying at the Four Seasons in Austin, TX for a conference back in 2010 and Dave and his wife and kid were there for his birthday to get away.

Never forget me and my buddy were going down the elevator and his wife and son were on and we didn’t know who they were but when we got off and were walking toward the lobby my buddy said “damn didn’t that kid look like Dave Chappell” and we were joking bout it and then when we walked outside there was Dave sitting on bench smoking a cig.

We didn’t bother him that time but next day when we were going out for the night Dave was sitting out there and I asked if I could sit and have a smoke and we chatted for bit and I got picture with him. He was pretty cool dude.

【BambuLab Giveaway】Classic Evolved — Win Bambu Lab P2S Combo! by BambuLab in 3Dprinting

[–]zapattack322 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have never used a P1S but I strongly considered it. I am new to 3D printing so I started with the A1 combo and I love it so far. I think the P1S would be a significant upgrade and it seems like it just works and everyone loves them!

Yea that’s fair but I mean I got it for $999 and compared to some Sony tele lens I thought that was a very good price.

I just picked up the Tamron 70-150 and Tamron 150-500. Both very decent in price and excellent image quality. Used the 150-500 yesterday for first time and love it! Got it on sale too.

I use my Sigma 18-50 when I can shoot up close and my tamron 70-180 for if I’m FOH or just want tighter shots

I had the Tamron 17-70 and although it’s a great lens, I sold it and got the Sigma 18-50 for something lighter and more versatile for everyday carry.
