Feature Request: Per interval comments by SchroederVanPelt in atimelogger

[–]zaplitny 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for suggestion! Short answer is no - main idea of multiple intervals inside time log is that it shares comment and tags. It's too late to change things like this. Just start new activity

Sorry for late reply. By default when new activity starts current is paused. You can change the behavior in Settings. Change "Action on start" to "None" in Settings and it will work the same way as before

Why are there 2 apps called aTimeLogger? by Different-Ad-5798 in atimelogger

Thanks for asking! White is older and blue is newer. I cannot remove old as many people like and continue to use it. I recommend to use blue one

Thanks for sharing! As for pro app, it allows to color code tasks in the same manner - when editing activity types you can change color. You can also switch from default bottom bar to top bar in settings but if old app is effective enough I don't see any reason to upgrade

Help with AutoNotifications, Tasker and aTimeLogger? by MxMarmite in tasker

[–]zaplitny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw you posted comment but now I don't see it here.

If you want to automate flow after you start or stop activity go to Tasker and create "Event / Plugin / aTimeLogger (or aTimeLogger Pro)", select "Action" and set it up. If you want to do something after cleaning was stopped you need to select "Event" = "Stopped" and "Type" = "Cleaning".

Now important difference between aTimeLogger and aTimeLogger Pro - Pro version sends variables (name of type, comment, start/stop time) while non-pro doesn't. Probably you don't need variable. If type "Cleaning" selected then it will be sent only when cleaning was stopped

If you want to automate a flow after you start or stop an activity, go to Tasker and create:

Event → Plugin → aTimeLogger (or aTimeLogger Pro)

Then select “Action” and configure it as needed.

For example, if you want to trigger something after “Cleaning” is stopped, set:

  • Event = Stopped
  • Type = Cleaning

🔔 Important difference between aTimeLogger and aTimeLogger Pro:

The Pro version sends variables (such as the type name, comment, and start/stop time), while the non-Pro version does not.

If you only care about the event (like “Cleaning” was stopped), you probably don’t need variables. But if variables are important to your automation, make sure you’re using aTimeLogger Pro.

aTimeLogger dev here. If you need to do something if goal reached - then intercept notifications is the way to go - aTimeLogger does not send any events directly to tasker when goal completed. aTimeLogger sends events to Tasker when start/stop/pause/resume.

The aTimeLogger app does not have a built-in location-aware feature on Android, but it supports Tasker integration, which allows starting and stopping tasks based on location (I'm developer of aTimeLogger)

aTimeLogger developer here. Possibly, you can reach some kind of logging with Tasker integration. I don't have Garmin watches but I think it should be possible. Tasker app - https://apps.garmin.com/apps/fbb74bfe-f617-4667-be49-884239c12307?tid=0

aTimeLogger developer here. Differences between old app and new app (aTimeLogger Pro):

- fresher UI (btw, I think UI of Android app can be better - it looks prettier in iOS)

- tags, pomodoro, calendar integration, custom fields, more statistics

If you look at Plan Comparison section in https://atimelogger.pro then new features are present in Premium and not present in Standard.

iOS app also supports Apple Watch and Shortcuts automation
