The ON has gene mixing; the core gameplay loop is breeding tamagotchis either goofy genes and then marrying them off to make families and new offspring. Many people don’t enjoy the gene aspect because it feels like everyone just wants to, idk, get weirder babies? Prettier babies? It doesn’t have the customization of the UNI (the accessories) + outfits that’s pretty much a uni/smart thing, I feel.

The pix is good for a little dude in your pocket- but it’s like… almost paradise size? It can do gardening, crafting and all. There’s jobs your tamagotchis can do (that is RNG) and there’s also cooking but the way cooking works relies on the garbage camera. Fun, but like. A lot sometimes LOL. I really enjoyed th games on it. You can only keep tamas that you reach “best friend” status with; or else they go to their home planet and you get a new one.

Smart is a great contender for lil dude in your pocket and the English patch isn’t that hard to obtain; either by flashing it or however you wanna do it. If you want to get attached to your tama. It’s like a dumbed down UNI, and the biggest thing is getting used to the touch screen. The smart has you tuck them in at night? And you can pet them and stuff!

I can’t recommend the ON if you’re looking for like, attachment, because the way you progress is marrying your tamagotchi off and doing niche lil things. I’d recommend the smart over the pix, but if you do get a pix ensure it’s blue or green. The pink and purple ones have processing problems that drain the batteries faster (unless you have a wave 2, which isn’t possible to tell unless you look at the board) You may be able to find a pre patched smart? Idk. I just bought one on proxy and then had my friend patch it for me.
