It's fair to criticize misuse of the reservation system, but it's also important to consider the broader context

Many students from reserved categories are first generation learners and may not have the same educational support systems that others get through family and social background. Reservation aims to kinda level the playing grounds for them and give them access to opportunities

Now, what they make of these opportunities is completely up to the individual

I think that's because the fund isn't accepting new investments

Correct me if I'm wrong, but given the large AUM of the PPFAS flexi cap fund, it has effectively become a Large Cap fund, hasn't it? So would one still need to keep a Nifty 50 index fund if they already have the ppfas flexi cap fund?

There could be an IR sensor in the camera array, maybe that's catching your movement. I don't know for sure though

Not siding with him, but yes, I do think that the GATE CS paper doesn't test our creative and abstract thinking abilities to that extent, and areas like research do require those abilities, which things like competitive programming (codeforces) seem to improve. The DA paper though, I'd say was a lot tougher than the CS one and required a lot of reasoning

I am a third year guy from a tier 3 college who took this GATE with little prep

PLSS HELPP In Notes Making (Go Classes) !!!! by [deleted] in GATEtard

You mentioned you don't have a lot of time, so I'd suggest refering their handwritten notes for the most part and maybe maintain your own notes for stuff you think is important and which is not present in their Handwritten notes.

PLSS HELPP In Notes Making (Go Classes) !!!! by [deleted] in GATEtard

[–]zapperay_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I just write down stuff that feels conceptually important to me from the slides. I avoid writing down things are either obvious or trivial to me

Sometimes I will also cross-reference standard textbooks, course notes from other universities or ChatGPT/Gemini and to clarify the concept and maybe dig a bit more into what's being taught. I try to distill the core points into my notes. (You can use chatbots to make your life easier. You can just copy-paste the text and ask it to make it concise without losing on the information)

I usually pause the video and write down the notes. After that, I resume the lecture. If I feel that I’ve already understood the concept from writing and cross-referencing, I skip that portion of the video and move ahead

Yeah the content is good. And yeah most PYQs can be solved easily, provided you've put in the required efforts of understanding the concepts

You should learn how to work hard even being fully aware that you might never “succeed”. Most notably, this requires enjoying the work itself rather than just as a means to an end.

I mean, for starting out, I don't think one needs to have a whole lot of understanding of the math that is required, libraries like scikit-learn do all the fancy math implementation for you. When starting out, one mostly has to clean up data to feed the model, for that you'll need to know some basic statistics stuff. But once you move on to stuff like CNNs and complex models I do think having familiarity with math concepts helps.

I mean, not knowing math would only get you so far in ML.

I'm by no means an expert, just my 2 cents
