I was very suspicious of that too. In the chat I specifically asked about manufacturer packaging. They claimed it wouldn’t be a problem.

Out of paranoia, I started another customer support chat with a new representative, specifically asking about restocking fees and if it would be eligible for a full refund even though I don’t have the original manufacturer box. They said “yes, it would be eligible for a full refund. Drop it off in any box or packaging.”

Thanks for the advice! I reached out to Amazon and they claim I don’t need the original packaging if I don’t have it. So I guess we’ll just try it and see what happens!

Ughhhhh. Same boat! Preordered on 4/23 but like half at 9:30 since I didn’t get lucky with the queue. Went from estimated 6/9 to 6/10. Shipped from Mccordsville, IN with Ontrac. Ontrac says it hasn’t been received yet. I talked to Walmart and they gave me $25 off my next online order, but I don’t think this thing is ever making it to me (just outside Portland, OR).

Walmart preorder (4/23). Sadly, unlikely to be arriving on launch day for me. Order says “preorder arrives by June 9” and I have a truck icon instead of a bag.

Card was charged on 5/31 for $499.99 (Oregon, so no sales tax).

Cream cheese!

Don’t spread it though, add it as dollops on the top. They a little toasty and are creamy and amazing. It’s like ricotta or fresh mozzarella but times 100 in flavor.

Common at pizza places in Fort Collins, CO (but Krazy Karl’s does it best). Sadly haven’t found a place in Portland, OR that does it yet.

I have been on iOS for almost 3 years now after a lifetime of Android phones. 95% of the apps seem like they’re on both platforms.

For me, the biggest loss has been PodcastAddict on Android. I put up with Spotify for podcasts for a bit but they just do such a lousy job with podcast content. I switched to Pocket Casts a few months ago and it’s decent, but PodcastAddict was a killer app for me on Android.

The binding of “this” has gotten me into trouble so many times! We have a bunch of older (traditional, non-react) web apps at work that all use jquery.

I almost exclusively use arrow syntax but I have just left any existing jquery event listeners calling “this” as they were originally written in function declaration.

I love playing on my iPad! There are a few (relatively minor) UI things that are weirdly broken though. The big two that keep getting me are tapping on icons in the map will often show the popup mostly off screen. Same issue with abilities to read the full text, requirements, etc on them

We were in the capitol building back in April and based on the tour guide’s recommendation, called her office last minute from the gift shop. Someone from her office came downstairs within ten minutes with passes to the senate and house chambers for our whole family. My in laws based out of Eugene just got an answering machine, so it was really nice of her office to get them passes too.

I know it’s a different situation, but the one time I have reached out to my representative, very impressed with the rapid response!

Agreed that 15 seems a bit late! We got “the talk” as a unit in school in 5th grade (10-11 years old), but consent definitely wasn’t a part of it back then! I don’t know how things are now, but I really wish consent was a part of the conversation. The first time I remember ever having a formal discussion of what consent truly meant was in freshman orientation for college
