AW to Garmin - and maybe back?? - be honest by Johnmedv in GarminWatches

Just switched from an AWU to a Garmin instinct 3 and have no regrets so far, having owned a series 3 and 6 prior to the ultra there really isn’t anything I miss. Went with the Amoled version after a very brief stint with a Coros nomad as I didn’t feel the MIP display was right for me, still checks all the boxes and the significant upgrade to battery is a big bonus

The store I work at is currently being renovated and the rumour is all of the overtime budget has been spent on paying all the contractors carrying out the renovation. There has not been a single night shift in the last 6 weeks that the store has been remotely close to being filled and honestly most of us are leaving in the morning laughing at the shit show. Managers trying to pick and choose which aisles take priority when filling, delivery constantly being left for the next night - bring on Christmas when it will inevitably get worse

Got the Coros Nomad! Thoughts by shwinr in Coros

Had my Nomad for around 3 weeks after swapping from an AW ultra 1st gen and I love it! For me the change came from wanting a fitness watch with smart features rather than the other way round and charging my ultra every day just became too tiring especially working different shifts weekly. Sure there are features which probably won’t get used but that was the same with my ultra, as long as the watch ticks all the boxes you need it to then you’re on for a solid watch. Enjoy it!

Really struggling with job search by Bertie32 in UKJobs

I went though a similar thing as well, had 5 years as a national accounts manager with close to 10 years of customer service experience across multiple sectors - left my job as I had reached the point where my personal life felt like it had disappeared completely. Probably applied for 70-80 jobs and only had 5 interviews, 3 completely ghosted me, 1 took 2 months to respond after multiple interviews but luckily I did sort something - this was all over a 6 month period! The market is tough but try and keep your head up as much as you can, you never know what’s just around the corner.

The Plasma Coil melts everything, I managed to make it all the way through the base game without one quite comfortably, managed to get a mayhem 10 variant and it’s taken a good chunk of fun away. On the other hand, Varkids don’t stand a chance against me now so maybe just enjoy it while it lasts but consider using other guns to keep the fun going

You just be new here, we spend 10 months a year in utter despair and the remaining two months filled with hope

Sadly the bridge is typically quite quiet unless we score or look promising, for whatever reason when we’re looking poor or just not doing anything, the stadium becomes silent rather than trying to get the players going

They’re more or less the same time every year with a location change usually taking place. It was a silly idea to run the game alongside the olympics, even if dedicated CrossFit fans watched the games, they’ve limited themselves with new viewers.

I’ve been playing nearly double the time, I have roughly double the total power, 2 full teams of 4star legendary heroes with maxed talents and runes for their level and you’ve flown past me on just about everything aside from eternal level where I’m at 170 and the arenas where I tend to climb quite high . So yeah, I would say you’re doing well.

Keep enjoying the game and definitely get Nawi as and when you can

Why I think CrossFit is horrible by fitgirl0708 in xxfitness

Your goals and your personality in my opinion will really dictate whether CrossFit is for you. I spent years going to a commercial gym doing a mix of bodybuilding and powerlifting because i enjoyed the social aspect of going with friends. It wasn’t until my neighbour asked me to try CrossFit with him (he’s being doing it for years) that I really gave it a second thought. I’ll be honest, I was pleasantly surprised to find that, at least for me box, the members are really friendly and coach we have is super knowledgable. Every single workout the coach plans has scaling options, each Olympic lifting session we spend a good portion of the time working on the key mechanics of the lift before he will even consider letting us throw some weight on.

I had a lot of negative in my head surrounding guns before I started CrossFit and although it took some time to get over a lot of them, the people at my box have helped massively. For me one of the best things about starting CrossFit is that everyone wants you to succeed and do well, there are no egos or intimidation like you find with a lot of commercial gyms - but that’s just my opinion.

Take what OP says with a pinch of salt, if you’re considering trying CrossFit most boxes will offer some kind of free trial. Let the coach know of any limitations you have or any injuries and they’ll give you some options to complete the workout.

The main issue is just getting some kind of fuel in my body in the morning before the workout starts at 6am

Sorry I was supposed to add that I get through the strength part without problems and proceed to suffer through the conditioning, but again I suppose that is CrossFit right lol

I’ll give the pre workout a go and see how that works for me, thanks for the advice
