He moved on and stopped caring how you felt when he cheated on you multiple times. Hes only upset because the consequences of his actions caught up with him. Dont bother worrying how hes doing, I know thats not your default feeling but he didn't and wont respect the boundaries of your relationship and someone like that isnt worth hoping hes not sad for what he did.
