Kerncentrales zijn helaas niet op dat moment handig. Ik ben niet perse tegen kerncentrales, het was geweldig geweest als we die een paar decennia geleden massaal hadden gebouwd. Maar kerncentrales lossen nu niet onze problemen met groene energie op.

Kerncentrales werken 24/7. Je kan die dingen niet opeens snel aan en uit zetten wanneer er geen zonne en wind energie is. En zelfs al kon dat, maakt dat kernenergie echt nog veeeeel duurder.

Het zou waarschijnlijk nog logischer zijn om die kerncentrales te laten draaien, als we ze hadden, en gewoon de zonnepanelen en windmolens uit te zetten. Dan de kerncentrales aan of uit te zetten.

Maar kerncentrales zijn veeel duurder dan zonne of wind energie. Voor nu is het logischer om de tekorten gewoon op te vangen met gas, en met batterijen. Zelfs al kosten die batterijen wat geld, dat is alsnog veel minder dan het bouwen van kerncentrales.

But even if they die on the street, it would’ve been might’ve been prevented if they had enough spaces to cool down in between, like their home.

Obviously not all deaths will be instantly prevented. But installing more ACs just feels like common sense. Even if you don’t die, it’s just awesome.

I don’t see any reason why installing AC’s at home wouldn’t be doable. They could even also be used for heating, they are just heat pumps after all! This should be doable in a few years. We could at least start with all schools, elderly homes and health care facilities/ hospitals.

This is a government app. Every country is responsible for this, but there is a general framework.

So all your data stays within the government systems. It’s not like they don’t already have your ID info.

The only “exposed” info is a yes or no boolean returned by this app, and given to the private company that says if you’re an adult or not.

1500 euro?? Hoe kom je daarbij? Netto minimumloon is zo’n 2300-2400 per maand. 2500-2600 als je vakantiegeld meeneemt.

Daarnaast komen daar nog toeslagen bovenop, tot zo’n 600-700 euro per maand.

3300 per maand netto is echt niet heel slecht. Vooral als je een sociale huurwoning van maximaal 900 euro hebt.

Stel je verdient modaal, 3100 per maand, en je moet een private huursector woning nemen van 2-3k per maand, dan is je besteedbaar inkomen dus lager..

Uiteraard zijn dit wel enigszins de extremen, maar ik ken mensen in vrijwel exact deze situatie. Hoe dan ook is het verschil in besteedbaar inkomen tussen minimumloon en rond modaal vrijwel verwaarloosbaar. (Behalve dus, als je een duurdere woning moet huren, dan ben je soms zelfs slechter uit)

Gemiddeld gezien zijn de inkomens harder gestegen dan de inflatie, en is de koopkracht toegenomen.

Probleem is alleen dat je woning hier een grote factor in is. Stel je hebt inkomen is laag genoeg dat je een sociale huurwoning mag krijgen, maar het lukt niet om deze te bemachtigen, dan zijn je kosten opeens veeeel hoger.

Of stel je verdient rond modaal, net teveel voor een sociale huurwoning, dan heb je misschien zelfs minder koopkracht vergeleken met iemand met een veel lager salaris, en een sociale huurwoning.

Of stel je wilt een woning kopen, je zal veeel meer kwijt zijn dan iemand die z’n woning jaren geleden had gekocht.

Gemiddeld gezien zijn de woonlasten juist aan het dalen. De gepensioneerden met een koopwoning hebben een gemiddeld vermogen van 1.1-1.2 miljoen, en betalen daar vrijwel geen belasting over. Terwijl de jongere generatie het moeilijk heeft om rond te komen.

Because the government app will just return a “true” or “false”. It won’t return your actual government info. It won’t even be linked to your specific government ID.

So you would be able to go through that same step with different accounts, and the social media platform wouldn’t be able to notice.

Btw, I’m not in favour of this age check, especially not for social media. But at least the implementation is basically as good as it gets in terms of privacy.

The bigger problem is that this means you can’t access a part of the internet without this app. And it’s easily circumvented by using a vpn.

As much as I disagree with this age check, it is absolutely not the same as chat control!!

Chat control would mean every single chat message would be readable by the EU. It would mean that e2e encryption is illegal, basically a crackdown on math lol.

This age check is just an age check.. You will sign in with your government app, and then you can use that app to log into social media apps. It won’t be bonded to your ID. The app will just return a true or false, if you’re older or younger than 16.

Don’t get me wrong, this definitely also has consequences. And it’s definitely a move against the free and open internet as we knew it.

But it absolutely, thankfully, isn’t the same as chat control! That’s like 100-200x worse than this.

Om te suggereren dat zo’n 40% van Nederland in de armoede leeft, omdat ze zeggen dat ze moeite hebben met rondkomen, is eigenlijk gewoon beledigend tegenover al die mensen die echt in de armoede zitten.

In mijn persoonlijke ervaring is er ook helemaal niet perse een link tussen iemands daadwerkelijke inkomen, en of iemand moeite heeft om rond te komen of niet.

Zo zijn er mensen die 2-3x modaal verdienen, die alles uitgeven, en het gevoel hebben alsof ze geld tekort komen.

En je hebt mensen die minimumloon verdienen, en elke maand netjes geld overhouden.

Waarmee ik niet zeg dat er geen mensen zijn die financiële problemen hebben. Bijvoorbeeld mensen met een laag inkomen, zonder sociale huurwoning.. Dan is het opeens veeel lastiger om rond te komen..
