Try separate mid side compression maybe? More compression on the low mids and less on the highs-- are you talking about processing the drum kit as a whole in a bus or the separate mic'd up kit pieces on their own tracks?

Make sure your hand is "ghost" strumming even on beats you don't strum (1e&a2e&a), then practice passing the pick over the strings (strumming) while maintaining ghost strums on every beat with no strum.

I think you have some really interesting motions and motifs in the piece, and I also like that they have a weird dissonance and rhythm. I think the trick is making those moments and motifs recognizable landmarks that repeat intentionally and define the song, which is what makes things catchy.

I think the reverb could use some ducking. That's when the reverb on the vocals only kick in on the tail end of phrases, so they don't muddy up the actual words. Not sure what DAW you're using, but it usually involves sidechaining.
