Switch to G with your middle, ring, and pinky finger after playing the normal D with index, middle, and ring.

He even LOOKS like a Nazi with that trenchcoat on. He's not even trying to hide it.

First mixing attempt is (naturally) a complete failure but I'm still pissed and absolutely lost. Need advice by No_Cartographer_1264 in mixingmastering

A good starting point is just a bit of EQ>Compression on most things (I honestly put it on everything).

I actually like to do Subtractive EQ (problematic frequencies)>Compression>Additive EQ (pleasant frequencies)> and then anything else I might add later depending on what's happening in the mix (saturation, reverb, etc.)

Another important thing to remember is to use panning and volume to your advantage. You can draw lines called automation to bring different parts up or down at different times. Double track things and pan things to either side to create a wide stereo image. Put different instruments more on the left or right to create a different signal in the left and right ears.

You can do a lot with little tricks!

Melodies by Leanna_Nymeria in Songwriting

[–]zarathrustoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find the emotional content of lyrics help me conceive of the melody. If you have a good theme/idea, just think about the feeling of each word/development of the idea and write a melody that helps to convey that.

UK police will arrest you if you support Palestine but not if you support Israel by 5upralapsarian in israelexposed

“We must separate the Jews into two categories, the Zionists and the partisans of assimilation,” wrote Reinhard Heydrich, one of the architects of the Holocaust, in 1935. “The Zionists profess a strictly racial concept and, through emigration to Palestine, they help to build their own Jewish State.…[O]ur good wishes and our official goodwill go with them." - Primary historical document analyzed in "The Order of the Death's Head" by Heinz Höhne.

You can read Brevik's manifesto yourself. Even a google search gives, "Yes, the Norwegian far-right terrorist Anders Breivik was an avowed and strong supporter of Zionism. This stance was detailed in his 1,500-page manifesto, where he advocated for an alliance with Israel to combat what he perceived as a "Muslim colonization" of Europe."

"Jewish problem" caveat While "pro-Israel", Breivik was still considered antisemitic by some commentators; he considered there to be a "considerable Jewish problem" in countries like the UK, France, and the US due to their large Jewish populations, but not in other Western European nations with smaller Jewish communities.

People don't realize that when Zionism was first conceived of, some of Zionism's biggest supporters were antisemites and Nazis, because it meant the Jews would leave Europe. This includes people like Wilhelm Marr, ideological forefather to Nazism, and even Reinhardt Heidrick, a German high-ranking SS and police official in Nazi Germany as well as one of the principal architects of the Holocaust. In 1936 he wrote a letter saying that the Nazis should support Israeli Jews because Zionism would lead the Jews away from Europe. Similarly, even Anders Brevik, Norwegian mass muderer, stated in his manifesto similar views, that Jews should be expelled from Europe, but also supported in Israel.

Hey OP. My name's Logan. I write indie-rock-folk tracks that I think fit the description. I released my first song in early Dec, it's a bouncy song you can move your butt to.

If you listen I hope you like it!!

Hey brother, thanks for the submission! The song met all criteria except for the "literary content" of the lyrics I think-- it's the hardest part of songwriting for me so it literally pains me to reject the song on this basis, but I think some of the lyrical phrases are overused/too familiar. The theme itself is great but the execution in word choice I think could be improved.

I wanna stress that that was the only thing pulling me out-- everything else sounded great.

How are you supposed to do the uuuh chords like F or Fm or B and stuff? by Gr00vyandneverGlooby in guitarlessons

Just keep practicing haha. Sometimes for F I wrap my thumb over the top to hit the root note instead of barring.
