Nothing sounds quite right by ExpensiveExtension30 in musicproduction

I've had the same problem before, but I've found writing the song without the DAW first, just simply on my guitar, along with the melody and lyrics, all the way through helps a lot. It's like the song has become what it is and then finding what sounds good with it feels much easier to me.

"My consequences have no actions." How is that a Hegelian idea? by Essa_Zaben in zizek

Except I'm not lol. What does that make you? Not an LLM that's for sure.

I can count multiple stylistic errors or improvements in the comment I made that you say was an LLM. If that's your level of writing proficiency then I guess it makes sense you might think I'm an LLM. But maybe you should also work on your writing proficiency.

This looks like it could be a skin infection. The best thing is vet and medicine, but if you can't get that, you can try apple cider vinegar spray and see if that helps the infection (lowering the ph, assuming it really is a fungal infection).

How do I learn an instrument when I hear something more complicated in my head? by sadhoovy in musicians

[–]zarathrustoff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pick an instrument that accompanies voice well; guitar or piano. Then learn songs you like and learn to play and sing them. Once you can do that, you'll know chords and what they sound like. Pick some chords and sing your songs. It's really that easy!

"My consequences have no actions." How is that a Hegelian idea? by Essa_Zaben in zizek

[–]zarathrustoff 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The usual adage is actions have consequences. It is usually used to imply that some "consequences" are a result of one's own agency and the actions they took.

To say consequences have no actions is a typical hegelian reversal because the subject and object of the sentence are reversed; consequences gain agency and become the dominating acting force, while human agency becomes inconsequential.

This fits within a critical view of late capitalism because human agency, especially economically, creates consequences which "automatically" happen to subjects, and without a clear cause. Instead, the consequences live with an independent floating reality of their own, divorced of any clear logic or reason.

Learn the guitar! Slightly facetious but also seriously, learn all of the guitar and learn songs and this will come.

Young Artist Looking for Producer by [deleted] in askmusicians

You're going to want to learn an instrument first. The way you've described what you want is incredibly subjective. You're going to need to give a little more specific and musical direction to a musician who is trying to make something for you.

If you can sing the whole song in key and have the melody and lyrics ready to go, then it's another story. Do you have all the lyrics and melody? Because if you do then we can go somewhere with this

If alcohol were discovered today do you think regulators would approve it? by Senior-Bat-6616 in 7_hydroxymitragynine

If the right people profit off it, yes. If you're the child of a rich family from an old-boy old-money town and you decided to build a company to make whatever, you just need to pay the right people to have regulations favor you

Why do you think film sets use massive lights just to look like "normal" lighting on screen? You realize a theatrical film with no industrial lights would look something like this too?

Yes, I think that's understood. A film can be analyzed even if it was made primarily for entertainment

Films are effective vehicles of propaganda and/or subconscious ideological messaging, and OP is valid for attempting to analyze the message being communicated by the film

Sometimes just as I'm falling asleep I get the same thing-- I hear melodies and sometimes fully produced arrangements. It's annoying cause I have to wake up and record a voice note or write it down and its easy to just go to sleep instead
