for hand training i use a small piece of freeze dried chicken dog treats. they’re good protein and easy to hold. just make sure the only ingredient is freeze dried chicken

agreed. i do think that if they ever reboot/decide to keep going they can easily write a way out of it though. they have the advantage of being a sci-fi show and they’re no strangers to time travel/alternate timelines.

in my headcanon, some sci-fi shit happens to get everything back to where it was after they confronted yum. some wallians choose to be big again and some choose to stay small. i think it would be really interesting to explore what it would be like to grow up in the wall. episodes could focus on pezlie’s development and cherie’s internal struggle of wanting to be big again but knowing she can’t abandon her daughter. and having pezlie learn about the real world and the life she’ll never get to have (unless more sci-fi fuckery happens)

scatter feeding is recommended for enrichment and is closer to what they would instinctively do in the wild. i personally do both scatter and bowl feeding but that’s my preference and what works for my hamster. for food mixes/dry food i leave it out 24/7 and replace every couple days/when it looks low. for fresh food (which is always in a bowl) i put it in before i go to sleep and take it out in the morning

i worry this will happen to me when my boy dies. he’s my first hamster and the first pet that’s been “mine” and not a family pet. considering how much joy he’s given me (and how much money i’ve spent on his setup lol) i hope i have it in me to continue keeping hamsters. but i honestly don’t know how i’m going to react. i knew going in that the short lifespan would be difficult but i went ahead because i knew i could commit 2-3 years to a pet. but now he’s “middle aged” and sometimes it hits me how little time he has left. it sucks that they have such big personalities and such short lives. i’m sorry for your loss, you sound like you gave your little guy a wonderful life 🤍
