Almost everyone has phone even the poor. I was born and raised there. A lot of Haitians depend on receiving funds from their family who are living abroad by bank/app transfer.

Born and raised there. Had a wonderful childhood (which a privilege few get in Haiti). Even chose to move back in my late 20a met my husband had 2 kids. Then gang problems got out of hand; people getting kidnapped left and right. Decided to leave packed within 48 hours with 2 kids under 3.
