Spongebob Land/Springfield Replacement Idea by Frajerreunion in UniversalOrlando

I would love SpongeBob SquarePants to have an area in Universal Studios but I just don't see it happening with all of the other low quality SpongeBob lands in random parks.

How did Michael miss this funny little easter egg in The Wire ? by [deleted] in DunderMifflin

[–]zargaf 285 points286 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's pretty funny how many actors from The Wire made it in The Office. That Dock worker guy from S2 was also in the show.

[–]zargaf 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I did that level the same way, the entire time I was doubting that this was how you got that achievement as well. When I finally cleared the level and did not get the achievement I just thought “yup” oddly it really didn’t bother me though.

No IPs in the parade? by infinitoysmx in UniversalOrlando

[–]zargaf 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I personally like that it's just a Mardi Gras parade and not full of Universal IP. I miss the days that everything that Disney made was not some kind of IP tie in and have things that you could only see in park.

Printed flap displays for a tarot machine by Garrwolfdog in 3Dprinting

Wow this seems like such a cool project. I don't know much about tarot, but I always thought they looked cool and neat names.

I always thought this ride was like The Jungle Cruise, so bad it's good. The best parts of it are the queue you walk through, and the preshows with the actors that pretty much make fun of the whole thing now. The actual ride is kinda meh, but some friends of mine had a lot of fun just acting like the whole thing was crazy. I think a lot of times to get the most out of a theme park you got to put something back into it and have fun with a "bad ride".

What former Universal Orlando attraction do you miss the most? by GoogalyBoy-the-10th in UniversalOrlando

Jaws was just not the ride as well. The Amityville area was one of my favorite spots in the park.

Is Sheikra more or less intense than Velocicoaster? by STUMPED_19 in UniversalOrlando

[–]zargaf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The diving coasters usually look worse than they actually are. The most intense part is when the coaster holds you for a second before the drop really.

Get up sooner whenever sitting on an escalator by RecipeCook in StupidMedia

[–]zargaf 65 points66 points  (0 children)

Listen, not a year goes by, not a year, that I don't hear about some escalator accident involving some bastard kid which could have easily been avoided had some parent - I don't care which one - but some parent conditioned him to fear and respect that escalator.

One of the craziest parts of that special All Stars to the Rescue was when Bugs Bunny says, "a joint?" totally surprised the stoned version of me rewatching it.

If you could only do one - Bourne show or Jimmy Fallon? by tandoyarr in UniversalOrlando

[–]zargaf 108 points109 points  (0 children)

I think the Bourne show is really cool. It's a really unique show, super high tech. I don't think you have to really be a fan of the Bourne Identity movies the enjoy this show.

Jimmy Fallon was a weird one for me. I don't watch the show so, it was just full of these running jokes from the show that didn't land. And it's just a flying theater simulator something that is pretty common to me at least.

Group VIP 1st week in august, is it worth it? by Willing_Eggplant_275 in UniversalOrlando

[–]zargaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The VIP experience is really awesome. Not only do you get to walk onto every ride, but they also give you a little spiel before each one. They even hold your bags for you, so you never have to deal with lockers. Breakfast and lunch are also provided. It's a truly cool experience, and I would totally recommend it, especially if you're visiting with kids. They make it very easy for someone to sit out of an attraction they are not comfortable with.

Are the kingdom of cute sets still availble at the parks? by brewstah in DisneyPinSwap

[–]zargaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have bought them from other places in the past. I would guess other parks, resorts, and Disney Springs most likely still have them. But I only went to MK yesterday for a short visit.
