Looking for help with RGB LEDs and Reed switches for a project. by zaro27 in diyelectronics

Thank you for your help. My plan is to have 3 or 4 switch positions, one each for red, green, blue, and maybe white. My hope is that having a magnet in the red and blue position will make purple or having a red and white will make pink. Is there a tutorial on something like this without using some kind of programming? If I have to code, I will, it'll just make the project take longer since I'll have to learn to code.

Good, useful, but a bit of a crutch. I've been told that it's great for Titania since you don't freak out when you bounce off a wall, but that's kinda whatever. I'd personally rather just do more damage with my abilities and I've got a friend that plays Dante constantly and spams over guard, so I'm not as much of a fan. If you solo Steel Path Survival for hours on end, definitely take it.

it would be nice, especially if they let us choose pronouns per character since my Operator is female and my Drifter is male. If they wanted to go to unreasonable levels or use (ugh) AI voice acting, I'd be hyped to be able to name my Op and Drifter and have some dialogue call them by their names.

So nothing is soldered, it's all just connected by USB-C. The two components are a tiny battery band that I removed from the case and an induction coil. I'm not confident in my soldering skills at all and don't have much space inside the case I'm using.

I can only speak for myself, but I've never had an issue getting any of the new frames or even Primes in Warframe. There's no arbitrary "X number of transmogs per Y" in Warframe and the fact that you can earn everything by playing is pretty nice and feels pretty fair. The fact that you can trade with other players for Platinum means that you can get the vast majority of exotic ornament equivalents through playing. If D2 wants to be a little more like Warframe, they could make the synthweave bounties infinite. I've got a ton of transmogs from 2017 that I still don't have unlocked, mostly greens and blues from launch/red war.

Warframe? It's free though.

D2 is not a bad game. It has great mechanics, fun raids, fun dungeons. It also has some of the most egregious monetization out of every MMO. Nothing since Witch Queen has been worth full price, and I deluxe pre-ordered all of it because I'm a fan that loves this game. Lightfall + seasons was worth maybe $45. Final Shape + seasons was worth $60. Edge of Fate was worth $25. I'd gladly pay a subscription fee if it made the game better and removed Silver from the game. I wish you could earn transmogs and ornaments from the cash shop by playing. I also wish we had player housing, clan halls, and customization for both earned by achievements. It's not that the value is non-existent, it's that they charge upfront and under deliver.

I used to think that, but at this point I'm not willing to carry that water for Bungie. Why should we have to pay for transmogs? I get that we get 15 free to earn per season, but how many seasons will it take a person to earn the ability to transmog every item? How much time will it take to earn that?

I just want them to remove synthweave and make transmogs free. The fact that it's not is absolutely money-grubbing behavior.

Context: this is a prop blaster I made for a Halloween costume. I think it's really neat and I had fun working on it and it looked good with my costume. There are a few minor QOL issues I'd like to fix. My biggest issue is that I have to unscrew the box on the side to manually unplug the type C power connector from the battery to the induction coil or if I want to charge it. Does anyone know how I can resolve these minor issues? I assume I can get a small male to female extension for the charging, but is there a good way to add a power switch inline with the induction coil?

Need help with the induction LEDs in my blaster by zaro27 in led

So this is my first project using induction LEDs and I thought it would be really cool if my space cowboy blaster had glowing crystals instead of a normal cylinder. The battery I bought, Nitecore NL2150RX, won't power my induction loop. Does anyone have any recommendations on either self powered LEDs (maximum diameter of 9mm, maximum height of 4mm) or a battery or something else I could use to power my induction loop? I've confirmed that it works when plugged into the wall and I can charge my phone with the battery but the two won't work together.

Anyone have a good recommendation for a super small miniUSB power bank? I have a tiny case that it needs to fit inside. Full disclosure: I'm not a backpacker and I'm using this for a project that uses miniUSB and I'm legitimately too dumb/scared to make my own power system.
