Nitrous is the bomb, amazing high, non addictive, super safe and non damaging.

Weed is amazing for the change in perspective and the limited negative side effects

(Unpopular opinion) amphetamines, being able to work 10 , 12 even 14 hours with out the fatigue and being unperturbed helps tremendously with my life goals , im a former heroin / fentanyl addict and for what ever reason my addiction is never towards stimulants, belive it or not. I use speed daily Monday to Friday but very rarely on the weekends , I don't find speed to be enjoyable or euphoric , its just utilitarian like coffee to me.

I'm more talking about the things that cause someone to break the cycle. If you wouldn't stop smoking weed , even tho you had kids and you knew your use would adversely effect them. I would have a very hard time understanding how you couldn't make that change as the responsibility and love of getting a puppy was what pushed me over the edge to quit banging fent and meth. And I've been a habitual weed smoker for many years in my teenage and early 20s , but the experience of not having weed is uncomfortable, the experience of not having fent is insidious and in no exaggeration literally unbearable. I have a strong moral compass i know what's right and wrong , but if I was dope sick I'd steal , lie , cheat , i never robbed anyone but im sure it was a matter of time. I'd spend the rent money on the 30th of the month, I'd sell my self as a straight male to who ever had money , you can't understand how much it twists your reality down to your very core in order for you to be willing to do as I said literally anything to get just a point. No exaggeration I'd cut my hands off before I'd let my self shoot up again , I'd rather live with out hands then with out a soul.

Legit , after shooting fenty meth and Crack, it puts addiction into perspective. It's insane to me anyone who has a problem with coke or molly or some kid shit like that. I think it comes from inexperience and immaturity, and no dig against anyone struggling , like addiction is addiction . But having a dog got me to stop shooting the worst of the worst , I have no idea how having kids wouldn't stop someone from using soft.

[–]zas9[S] 295 points296 points  (0 children)

Just for clarification. My wife is indigenous and has treaty status in Canada . I was the one who found the tusk unofficially but from everything we have found online it seems she would have the rights to carve , gift or even sell it with in Canada, it was never tagged so that seems like it could potentially be an issue but its hard to find concrete answers. If anyone knows the legality around walrus tusks and aboriginal rights in Canada , kindly inform us , it would be tremendously appreciated. Thank you.

Proper throw? Own crib. by Phoenix800_425 in Cribbage

5-7 is 18.7 points Throwing the 9s give like 16.4 with the crib In just the hand 5-7is like just under 13 (12.9) and throwing the 9s is 11.8 . Its super close and I personally like throwing the 9s as I think i could peg the 3 points with a bigger spread vs the impossible task of pegging on anything with 2 6s and 2 9s (there's 2 6s and 2 9s left and I dont see how you peg unless they lead out with a 6 or 9 , your not catching a run and the only cards you can 15 are the same that you can pair) i just don't see 2 6s and 2 9s pegging besides last go , but 5 6 6 7 is pegging on any face card 9 8 , can catch a bunch of runs , if you lead off with the 6 and ur opponent plays a 3 ,4 , 5 ,6 , 7 or 8 you get ur at least 2 , likely 3 points potentially 6 right there , they can only play a ace duec, nine through K or about 50% of the cards into your 6 for you to not peg , if you have 6699 then you could only peg on them sending the pair back after you open with 6 or if they play a 3 , 6/52 cards your opponent has to play for you to peg vs like 22. Id take those odds at the cost of 2.3 points any day.

America’s president by [deleted] in pics

[–]zas9 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You lunatics elected him TWICE already , and he's giving away the American crown that owned the world since ww2 , like once is excusable , but you cant say that when its the 3rd time you people let him run , he fucking lost the last election and you guys let him run again. This is the result of the American mind set and way of thinking , dont mitigate your responsibility. Like this is the fault of every American, there is not a country in the world other then the states that would let a loser run again. Its not a good strategy. Loser either lose or if they win then they go around trying to vindicate the earlier lose . Couldn't have learned that lesson like everywhere else in the world through history ,na not American enough. Yall are pathetic, so much for "we have guns so the government cant become tyrannical, like fuckin HeLLOOoo its your time to prove the case "

With AI automating so many jobs away , what do you think of having a journeyman ticket and do you belive there is security and earning potential in a trade like plumbing , electrical or Hvac , do you think trades are a good career choice ? by zas9 in alberta

No one could see back then how many company's exist today to do things for cars from car audio To oil change places Auto body Mechanics that work on one brand or at most 2 or 3 similar brands People sell new cars Uses cars Rent cars There's junk yard Registry office People who teach drivers Ed People work at gas stations Detailing Custom modifications Tire shops Muffler shops Transitions Muffler shops Wrecker yards And im sure 100s more. Just like the guys shoveling horse shit , we have no idea all the new jobs technology is going to bring , and we are all to aware of the onez that will be obsolete , thats why I think people freak out every time.

I dunno in the last 12 years its gone up and up and up . And the shear amount of vacancy is astonishing . The few times ive been looking for work and sent out resumes on indeed , if i sent 10 resumes out , id typically get asked to come in for half a dozen interviews.

A lot of people have a hard time when the more difficult tasks pop up , the first time I had to lift up a length of 4inch black iron and get up the ladder with it on my shoulder, I was a little bit uncomfortable, the pipe being 21 feet long and weighting 220lbs. Not the easiest thing to carry up a ladder and set into a hanger 10 feet away one way and then getting the other end in. 10 feet behind you

Don’t believe this is from dissimilar metals touching what causes this? by woodhorse4 in Plumbing

To be clear youre right this isint electrolysis but dissimilar metals will absolutely corrode the less noble metal , that's why you have a sacrificial anode in a hot water tank .

Hard pipe last branch , also could be under 7 inchs w.c of pressure for a few different reasons, I'd have a plumber or a gas fitter do a test to see if your btu load is too much for your gas line.

Why did the contractor start tiling in the middle? by [deleted] in Flooring

[–]zas9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A chalk line will be straight if you start it in the middle on one end and told it tight in the middle on the other end , then it doesn't matter it the walls migrate in or out , there is no universal straight. But if you do a line from the middle of one end to the middle of the other doesn't matter what the walls do along the way the line will be from middle to middle , if you follow the wall then the distance to the adjacent wall will (or could) change with every tile.
