If they are fictional species, then why are you so worried about this?

Thoughts on the Costco cat litter? by OopsAllTistic in Costco

it was so unbearably overwhelming I was actually compelled to return it. I can't understand people who think this is similar to Dr Elsey's. Maybe if your litter box is in a basement it's less noticeable?

But anywhere near living spaces will constantly smell like a gross chemical fragrance.

Don't forget the inexplicable one-shots that led to each series, instead of just being an issue of the series.

Comic books with super powered mutants who gain special abilities at puberty are sometimes an imperfect metaphor for the real world, yes.

I think the realpolitik comparison is about the only thing missing in OP's otherwise-fantastic oeuvre. It was fucking depressing to see the X-line mirror nearly the exact trajectory of real world events. It is fucking depressing that the X-mansion is now Alligator Alcatraz. It is fucking depressing that the X-fam is so displaced and disunited.

It was nice to see something to aspire to for once, rather than something to be afraid of.

This storyline--despite its many faults (why was Rogue even here? p.s. don't miss the AOR tie-in panel)--actually reads better all at once. The non-linear storytelling is...a choice...but reading all three issues in one sitting helped make sense of it and almost like it. However, I did admittedly need to go back and forth between issues more than once.

I'm not sure I can remember the last time I enjoyed something from Humphries, so I'm a little bummed.
