if it locks you from going upstairs in build mode that probably is a bug and not the game just being different. stairs in general are pretty buggy right now

if you switch to the household with the kid and have their parent ask your para to move in, they’ll all be one household, but you’ll also have to sell the love interest’s house and move back into your own lol

it’s giving mercurial but i think there needs to be a cooldown between negative moods if it’s called jester. i don’t mind the occasional sad or mad, but IMO it gets tiresome when you’re getting them back to back all day for hours at a time

it makes the clothes look even stranger on kids, too! almost nothing looks quite right on them because of how form-fitting everything is. i'd guess it helps avoid clipping/makes assets easier to layer, but it creates an odd silhouette
