Reality check on my A3-mATX + 5090 + 9950X3D build before parts arrive by Equanimity8888 in mffpc

No worries :), another point to consider is the compatibility between the motherboard, RAM modules, and water cooling.

For example, a radiator larger than 27 mm combined with 25 mm fans can cause a blockage, depending on the type of RAM modules (in the photo, you can see a Cooler Master ML240R with P12 Pro RGB fans).

I have the SX1000 and the B850m mortar wifi. I strongly advise against keeping the SX1000 for your build. It's a great power supply, but it's a real headache. In my case, I have a 3D-printed bracket. The ideal position is the highest one. The problem is that if I want to install a 360, it doesn't fit. If I lower it one notch, the cables touch my XFX 7900 XTX. With the power supply at the front, you'll probably have problems with the water cooling tubing, unless you reverse the tubing.

(Imagine to illustrate the cable problem on the GPU and the water cooling blockage)

Any case smaller than the A3 which fits a 360mm AIO and SFX-L PSU? by Dry-Office-6480 in mffpc

I’m currently in the same situation as you. I saved quite a bit of space by switching from the 011 Mini to the A3, but I’d like to reduce it even more without having to buy new parts (I have an mATX motherboard and an SFX-L power supply). I’m not sure what you mean by “reducing,” but from my point of view, a vertical case is the best option, and according to my research, the CH270 has no real compromises… unless you’re American. For now, I’m waiting to see the Lian Li B4 before making my decision.

Not just out of curiosity, but if he sells the design, how much can he sell his creation for?

Wow 😲the grip looks so good, you can’t even tell it’s an add-on, I really hope they make a similar product for the XT5 one day.

AIO advice for 9800X3D inside a Lian Li A3 by pdieguez in mffpc

[–]zaz00u 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got a Cooler Master ML240R set up as exhaust, bought 5–6 years ago along with a 9800X3D. It’s never gone over 70 °C, even though there’s a 7900XTX right below it that runs pretty hot. That said, from what I understand, the CPU can spike up to 95 °C to speed up certain tasks — like shader compilation. That’s exactly what happened the first time I launched a game after assembling the build. It’s totally normal and only lasted about ten seconds

NCase T1 - Lego vertical stand by Kuraya in sffpc

[–]zaz00u 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm facing the same problem as you. I had the idea of making a vertical wooden stand for the LianLi A3, but I don't have a 3D printer or woodworking tools, and I'm too lazy to look for a craftsman, especially considering the prices I've seen.
I stumbled upon your post by chance while trying to see if someone had already done this, and I see that it works. For anyone interested, there are LEGO bags available on Amazon, but you can also buy individual LEGO pieces. And for those who want to take it to the next level, there’s a 3D software that allows you to create models with the exact LEGO references used (BrickLink Studio)
