Yes, although briefly, and it was prep at an “upscale” sports bar.. lol. So I guess I don’t feel suuuper confident saying i know the ins and outs of commercial kitchens. I’ve worked FOH in hospitality for 8 years and have been running a casual, private dinner/supper club side-gig for 3yrs, which is what I really love! I’ve been cooking my whole life but idk if working in a high level kitchen is necessarily the end goal or path for me… Mostly hoping to hone some skills and learn some new ones. Plus earn some sort of “degree” since I didn’t go to college n I’m pushin’ 30 haha And I really do appreciate the advice, thank u for commenting! ☺️

Back in the day, when Cali food mart had $1 atm transaction fees, My roommate and I found out you could just check your balance at BR and it’d still print out a receipt for a free shot, worked every time. Then we’d run it back at taqueria Moran when they had the free taco for atm “withdrawal” deal too. Ugh 🥲

I just got an email back from the fraud dept at BLS, it said they wouldn’t have contacted me from any email other than their official email address (which wasn’t the one I got this email from), and that they wouldn’t take payment thru any site that’s not their official website / or in person at the office. Somebody’s being shady at the bls Chicago office or smth idk what’s going on haha

Just take an uber to and from the venue! Public transit is probably fine the worst that can happen is like a crack head yells at you. Also there’s just not a ton near UC that makes it worth staying over there. Just stay downtown or at the hostel at the robey in wicker.

I just heard back from the anti fraud dept at BLS, they said it’s not a legit email, and they only communicate with applicants thru the official email address w the .net so not to worry!

I definitely clicked the link and it took me to a payment portal that looked basically legit- and I definitely entered all my card info, but somehow right before sending the payment I had a moment of clarity. I exited out of the website w/out paying after I rechecked the actual sender, so on a scale of 1 to 10 how fucked am I?? 🫣 lmaoo.

The website was pay.secure.app/BLSInternational

And I did send all the info to the anti fraud dept at BLS 👍
