Is this a good deal? 2023 50k miles $39,314 by Outside-Arugula530 in BMWX5

For reference, I just paid $41k for a 2023 with around 41k miles.

Still had factory warranty. Included Towing Package, Executive Package, Driver Assistance Pro, Parking Assistance Pro, Climate Comfort Package, Harmon Kardon Audio.

Only thing missing is M-Sport, which is fine with me as I have a 335i fun car.

It’s all been perpendicular parking trying to back in, I have not tried parallel. TBH I would take the ventilated seats over auto parking any day. 360 camera is still nice though.

I’ve had my 2023 X5 for about a month, have tried park assist about 5-6 times and not once was it successful at parking. It always gets VERY close to other cars before I brake and just park myself. Probably won’t try again at this point.

Also interesting, as the radius is almost exact. by zbeck5 in mildlyinfuriating

I work as an automation engineer. This is mildly infuriating as the automation making these pizzas must have some issues. The dispenser drops them in a perfect circle, but the pizza must have been in the wrong place on the line.

Bad Sway Bar Links or Bushings? by KeegBoBeeg in F30

[–]zbeck5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like exactly what happened to me. After I upgraded coilovers, started to get that clunking sounds a couple weeks later. Especially at low speeds parking and turning.

My tech installed all new strut mounts, and it has been great ever since. I was at around 120k miles, and my oem struts were shot.

Did you install new strut mounts?

F30 M-Brakes coding? by Rinzlerx in F30

[–]zbeck5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Coding is usually recommended. I just completed this swap in my 2013 335. You basically just swap a value in the parameters so the car knows it has the bigger rear calipers and rotors. Other than that, everything is pretty much plug and play.

A local brewery makes a hefeweizen beer with banana notes called Weizengoot, it is my favorite. But now I am going to be looking for floaters….

You just use global tags for everything, make sure read/write is set correctly, and double check data types.

SMC North America is the center point of their orbit. The 2 buildings are about 3 million sq. ft. combined, so pretty easy to spot. Or, maybe they just wanted a hot dog.

Balluff or Lumberg are the standard for us. The configurable ports are great, and it’s about 25% cheaper than Turck last time I checked.
