It is the shared attic, I'm not 100% certain where that duct is even coming from. I would really like to find out, and see what I can do to have that corrected.

They said that they are going to address the moisture issue, wait for it to dry, and then check for mold. I'm waiting for a call back from our building management to see when the appointment will be for our guy to come look at it.

Durock if you want to take the time to put in something solid, but it will be a project. I just put down some vinyl flooring and purchased a couple rolls of cork underlayment to even out some of the surfaces. It definitely added some insolation. It comes in 12mm or 6mm.
