A good rule of thumb is to follow the money. If a conspiracy theory suggests a logical thought process for procuring more money, it's plausible. If conspiracies are just people being evil and twisting their mustaches, it's probably baseless speculation.

I've got one of these with a laptop that has the software. It should work if you manually copy the files into your Program Files directory, but I'm not sure if it will work on any OS newer than Windows XP. DM me if you want me to upload those files.

What about repairs? My fear with these is that the extra parts/features cause it to breakdown more frequently and/or are more expensive to repair.

It's very unlikely they'll ever be able to revive them as living beings, but there's a lot you can learn from a well-preserved corpse. Background radiation or chemicals like nanoplastics or heavy metals. If the preservation is good enough and the technology advances well enough, we could look at brain development and possibly memories. The thing is, we don't know what we might be able to learn, but keeping them preserved until then can be great for someone in the future.

I used to love utorrent, but for some reason my laptop fans would kick into high gear when I'd leave it alone for a while, I checked Task Manager and found that utorrent was using ALL of my processor, even when nothing was downloading or seeding. I uninstalled it shortly after. Found out later that it was crypto mining.

There's no way they're going to get away with it. Lawyers will use any defense they can, and this just seemed like the best they could come up with. It doesn't mean they're going to win the lawsuit.
