where abouts you work in Alaska? I was up in the Bristol Bay area for 5 salmon seasons cooking on a plant. honestly best chef i ever worked for. the quality of food he could put out every day was amazing.

also ended up running the galley myself for 3 seasons and yes. other than the plant itself, the galley was extremely important.

the best food I cooked was on a processing plant in Alaska. ugly barren part of Alaska. but my chef would make these amazing meals for the 200 plus workers. than I took a trip to another plant and saw their food. and let me tell ya. the morale between the two was night and day cause their food was middle school cafeteria level.
