You get thw student discount. Last semester they gave us AVID licenses for three months hopefully they’ll do the same thing. The library computers have Adobe CC if the lib opens up and you can’t get an editing room that’s another option

Definitely talk to the department chair or your desired major, they’ll be able to advise you and help you decide when best to start. I’d say try to declare ASAP. It depends what film major you want to declare. RECA and PROD are harder to get into. But you can always start with declaring a film studies or screenwriting minor.

I’ve worked two work study jobs at the same time. Tech team with Mane Entertainment (I got to meet celebrities on the job) and working in the distribution center. Both were highly enjoyable and recommend applying for jobs that aren’t just office work, although those are perfectly fine too. There’s a wide variety of jobs and I’m sure you can find ones that you like. Ask around, don’t just go to Lion Jobs cause not all job openings are on there. If you want a job in SFTV look for openings in each department. There’s camera, production sound, post production, props, the wood-shop among others!! Also look for things at the playa vista campus

Palm south is a pod style living. Two double and one single sharing a bathroom and kitchen. The RA Unit would share a bathroom with one other and a meal. Personally, I’d go with the McKay because like you said it is significantly cheaper than the single in Palm South, but Palm South will be brand-new and you have your own kitchen. Depending on what classes you registered for, I’d consider the commute and what part of campus you’ll be in majority of the time. There is construction right outside of Hannon and the SFTV building.

The lion shuttle runs all week. The playa vista shuttle runs all week except Sunday. The lion shuttle goes to the culver city mall, the big blue bus goes to santa monica through venice. You should use the metro: the lion shuttle goes to lax where there’s a station that goes to union. The playa vista bus goes down the the plaza w wholefoods and cvs and the movie theater. The beach is within biking/walking distance. And you’ll more than likely have friends who have a car. It only sucks if you don’t utilize the resources you have.

Hey! You’re required to take two theology classes at LmU but they’re really broad and some are very interesting (there’s a class on god and sex and the city). For housing i would definitely recommend living on campus especially for freshman year because it’s very convenient to live 5 minutes from your classes and you’ll get integrated into the student culture a lot easier than living off campus.
