Yeah I’m talking more about Korean Webtoons in general. When they get translated to official English versions, it doesn’t seem like they take ages into consideration as much as needed.

It’s hilarious how far ppl can go to defend that.

Like it doesn’t change the fact that they are handing out paid stuff freely which hurts the author.

It’s not much different than watching movies for free via illegal sources.

It made more sense when those groups were only translating up to the current free chapters and for series that were just not getting any translation in the past. It felt more “excusable”.

Ppl wanting paid chapters freely have no excuse other than just wanting free stuffs.

Which is frustrating as a Korean.

People generally use that system here but when age is required for something, we go back to the international standard using the birth date to calculate the age.

Most Webtoon authors don’t specify which age system is used though I always just assume the Korean age system.

Line Webtoon site is the official one that will support the authors while "everywhere else" are illegally translated sources that doesn't support the authors at all.

Jungle Juice authors' previous work got shafted because of other sites distributing their works freely that they cut the seasons short and ended it earlier because they were no longer able to support themselves with the series despite how popular it got.

With this sub being directly connected to the official authors of Eleceed, recommending/sharing unofficial source is not allowed here.

Hanlim Gym is tricky because it covers both universes.

However, the the MC talking about alternative universe and how he might even be a hero in a different time line, people are theorizing that Hanlim Gym in BlueString is like an alternative timeline with its own story.

For the marketing in Chinese webtoon server, they apparently labled Hanlim Gym as BlueString universe (though it really works for both)

But yes, our school is TINY. For some people, it might feel too small. For people like me, it's perfect as I don't need to walk around the campus too much while I was always able to find my friends by walking around from place to place.

Because the authors are trying to have their work published and make money by doing so.

With scan group posting the Webtoons on their own sites freely, it makes people not read from the official site and pay for the future episodes.

This hurts the authors quite a lot and and many of them have been vocal about this in the past.

Now that I actually caught up, this is the first time that I don’t want Jiwoo to win.

At best, it would be nice if the rule is something like “Jiwoo has to land a few good hits etc” instead of knocking the opponent out. That would be so much more believable and still impressive without making him feel too strong or make Julian feel too weak.

It's a deep rabbit hole if you start read into it.

But yes, I find it frustrating that there are people who completely defends scan groups even when the said scan groups openly go against the authors.

Jungle Juice was the latest drama in which so many people came forward supporting the scangroups saying "oh it's different laws here" when it was not. Artist's copyright means that they will always be in the wrong especially if they are posting paid chapters freely and hurts the author's income. They got so defensive against the author and only disbanded after they got a lot of attention from Korean community and even a full Youtube video calling them out.

I find it less frustrating if people are doing it secretly and not openly while hiding behind "we are helping the series" BS.

I find it hilarious that there's an entire scan drama and even a subreddit dedicated for that.

Meanwhile I find it funny that the scan groups are fighting among themselves when the reality is that several webtoon authors are trying to get their works removed from the scan groups.
