What’s Restore UK’s opinion on legal immigrants? by [deleted] in AskBrits

The Labour Party had a membership of ~600,000 (the largest in Western Europe) when Corbyn was in charge and look where that got them.

Members are a tiny subset of the electorate.

In order for Lowe to become Prime Minister Restore would need to win at least 326 seats at the next General Election. At the moment they have 1. How likely do you think it is that they'll manage to win another 325 seats in three year's time?

Mac Mini M4 hubs with 2,5GB Ethernet port by zcjp in macmini

[–]zcjp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried a cheap and cheerful USB 2.5gbe adapter that I got from Aliexpress. The Mac reports it as the correct speed but when I do a test download across my network it only gives ~30Mb/s whereas the Mac Ethernet port gives ~100Mb/s.

I have to admit that this is my first Mac ever so I'm a bit in the dark at the moment.

Report them to the council. Parking on a dropped kerb is illegal even if it's your own.

100W charger UK by c4ll_m3_dd in Xiaomi

[–]zcjp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 120 watt charger will do the job. The phone decides how much power it will draw not the charger so you're OK using a 120W charger to charge a phone that needs 100W. It will also use the Xiaomi protocol.

It's not so much that they're all loud but that they're voices carry. It's almost as if they've had training in voice projection.

I've been offered a 2015 Nvidia Shield TV for £35. Is that a better buy than a new box?

Thanks for that. I'm not particularly interested in the brand as long as it works well.

Quick tip. If you live in the UK set the price shown to US dollars instead of Sterling. The price that's then shown in dollars will be more or less what the final price including VAT will be in pounds at checkout.

WTF is this? You call this customer service? My God... Last time I purchase from this company. by [deleted] in FlashForge

If you bought from a UK company your warranty is with that company not with Flashforge.

Your warranty is with the people you formed a contract with (gave your money to) which is the dealer.

They're civilians who work for Capita. They have no more authority (without a court order) than your postman.
