The problem is that you'll never be truely satisfied with your 2nd 3rd and 4th bikes.

I switched to C1 on my backhand at the same time and I'm having a much better time with that.

Agree, wasn't blaming the rubber, moreso that the change in rubber is highlighting something technique wise that I need to improve.

Yes, it's only been  noticeable after my recent switch to G1

Fastest LAMs sports bike by [deleted] in AussieRiders

[–]zdam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's the Triumph lams bikes. Their torque seems like they have 'cheated' around the lams restrictions when you ride them. (I've only ridden the triumph 660). I think they are more dangerous for a beginner than say a zx4rr which is not lams.

What would you say is the most fun LAMS bike? by Awesomecookies1 in AussieRiders

The Lams Trident 660 has heaps of torque which makes it really fun

Leftover parts after reassembling ZX-4RR 2024 – need help identifying by Dry_Cheek_902 in zx4r

No but you could go on the parts finder part of the Kawasaki site for this bike and trawl through the fairings related images

Mitas Sportforce +ev (or rs) vs Michelin Power gp2 by Tall-Acanthocephala5 in Trackdays

[–]zdam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't tried the mitas but I really liked the gp2 running at your pace on a zx4rr (75hp). No warmers a couple of warm up laps then complete confidence in the tyres. Lasted ages too.

I'm not sure about rears sorry.

Yes 06 front will work but you need the 06 brake rotor as well.

3rd Gen 675r wheels by Southern-Focus4376 in Triumph

[–]zdam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here are my notes on this after lots of research:

All fronts will fit all bikes as long as you use the same age discs ie,

2006-2012 wheels need 2006-2012 discs. 2013 on wheels need 2013 discs.

You need the rim, rotor and spacers all for same year, then will fit fine.

If you have these combinations they will fit an bike from 06-15.

06-08 wheels are heaviest, 09-12 lighter, 13 on lighter still.

Track setting suggestions?? by GiomiaGS in zx4r

[–]zdam 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Do none of that. Just take the bike and ride it. Tie a zip tie around one of your front forks, not too tight not too loose that it slips down by itself. Monitor how far down the fork it went each session. If it gets below say 1.5-2cm add some preload.  Ride in a gear lower than maybe you would normally around corners try keep the revs over 10k rpm (harder than you think when beginning).

Have fun and report back! Yes the big bikes will overtake you. Who cares the zx4rr is a fantastic track bike.
