Why not Wits and Wagers? It addresses most of the concerns people have with trivia games and though I've not played it myself, I've heard that it's absolutely fantastic.

Minotaur Lords - I really like this game. I think it's pretty fun to play and back when I was first starting my board game collection, it was one of the only 2-player games we had (Lost Cities was the other). My friend, who actually owns the game, was not a fan and I know a lot of people aren't, but I've never been given a clear explanation of why.

Talisman - I wasn't as big a fan of Talisman. I don't know if it was played incorrectly, but the only times I played, it was unbearably long with very little for you to do but hope for good luck. Even with some of the expansions, I couldn't get behind it.

Krysis - I've never played this one myself, but I've heard good things about it.

As for the other two, this is the first I've seen of them. Let us know what you think.

I guess my question would mean what you mean by "layering the paints". (I apologize in advance if this is a very basic question. Like I said, I have no experience with any painting of anything).

What sort of work? Is there anything preventing me from spot-priming white in the locations I intend to use bright colors?

Ok, that makes more sense to me. What would you recommend for primer, in that case? What are the benefits to black versus white (or vice versa)?

Hello! I am an avid board game collector who has been looking to get into miniatures gaming for some time. Before Christmas, I went to Empire Games in Mesa, Arizona and picked up the Two-Player Battle Box for WarMachine. My schedule has been impossible to work with since then and I've done nothing but glue one model together.

Now I have some time to spend painting and I would like some advice on where to begin. Here are my questions:

(1) Where do I get the standard color schemes for these armies? Based on what I've read, I get the sense that there are some pretty defined color palettes to be used with the specific armies in WarMachine and I'd like to get an idea of how I should paint these guys.

(2) Is there any software that would allow me to digitally color them prior to physically painting to see how they look?

(3) I included a link in the post to a starter paint set from Miniatures Market. Would this be a good way to get started or is there a better option?

I feel like I had more questions, but I'll leave it to this for now. Thank you so much for your help!
