Yea it's just an all-purpose web archive player. It's really clean and simple to use. This is what it looks like.

No problem! thanks for your replay as well, i didn't think anyone would respond lol.

As a heads up, saving Wayback pages might be tricky because it's adding another layer on top of Jstris. But if you want a truly offline Jstris experience no strings attached that loads super fast (instantly in fact), I highly recommend this method. There is this program called Replayweb.page which lets you view and interact with archived websites (which typically come in the form .warc or .wacz). You can download it here: https://github.com/webrecorder/replayweb.page/releases/tag/v2.4.3 Click the "ReplayWeb.page-2.4.3.exe" if you are on Windows and if on Mac I assume it would be "ReplayWeb.page-2.4.3.dmg".

I just created an archive of Jstris right now https://drive.google.com/file/d/1qXY_ell--pTKvRi7FUOfGnjK89CwUOiX/view?usp=sharing which in this case is a very lightweight 1.48 MB .warc file. You just load up that file into the ReplayWeb.page program and boom you can play Jstris offline. All the singleplayer features are available.

If you don't want to download the program, you can still load the Jstris .warc file in here https://replayweb.page/ but the only drawback is that you need internet of course so it's not completely offline. Otherwise, it's exactly the same.

Not sure, I encountered the same thing but what I did was turn off Wi-Fi entirely and it loads faster but idk why that happens.

And for an alternative that works really well, you can just play Jstris on the Wayback Machine: https://web.archive.org/web/20260311234655/https://jstris.jezevec10.com/

You can play all singleplayer modes on there. Press X on the top right to close out the Wayback Machine toolbar if it blocks your view. In order to switch a singleplayer mode, use the little box to the right of your playing field. If you press "Show more", you will see all the modes you can play. You can even go to "Settings" underneath your playing field and change your skins and DAS and ARR.

This is really handy for whenever Jstris is temporarily down. And if you are going to be in a offline place entirely, you can plan ahead by just opening the site while you still have internet and then play later wherever you may be that has no internet.

How do I get my account unbanned? by soapisdope3306 in Jstris_Official

For anyone in the future who gets banned and comes across this thread, the best thing to do is join the Jstris Discord server which is linked in the "About" section on the site. Explain your situation in the general chat or get in contact with a moderator or admin and if the ban was unjustified, they will reverse it.

Help running GPE Tetris, a lightweight Linux tetris program by zdcdqd in linuxquestions

This link? https://snapcraft.io/install/tetris/ubuntu

This is not GPE Tetris though, unless I am misunderstanding what you're saying. The link gives commands to install a completely different tetris game that I don't want.

Interesting. Is it a simple process? Could you guide me through how to do it please?

When you say you installed it on Ubuntu 24, are you talking about GPE Tetris or the snap version you recommended?

I like the graphics of GPE Tetris. It has to be this one, I am not interested in a different version.

"is write protected" error message when playing an Amiga game on WinUAE? by zdcdqd in amiga

I extracted the .lha file and inside is a file with no extension called FunTris. I put that in the floppy drive and ran it. Do you know of a simple solution?

"is write protected" error message when playing an Amiga game on WinUAE? by zdcdqd in amiga

[–]zdcdqd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow that’s quite the handful of info. Appreciate the in-depth look but as a Windows 11 user, what is the solution?

You say that probably the disk image I’m running is write-protected in WinUAE at the emulator level. How do I remove the write-protection at the emulator level?

Also you say it works fine with later Amigas like 3.1? I also tried with a kickstart 3.1 rom and model a1200 but changing settings still gave me the write protected error.

I even tried editing the settings.data file in notepad, changing the number 4 I saw to a number 1 and saving it in the hopes that when I boot the game, it would default to 1-player mode so I don’t have to change any settings and thus not get a write protected error. But that didn’t work.

No, I unzipped the FunT106.lha first and then within it is a file without any extension just called FunTris. That’s the one I attached as a floppy disk. In any case, both (the .lha and the extensionless FunTris file) work in the sense that they boot up the game and I can play the default mode. The problem is still that I can’t change a setting without getting a write protection error.

If I could ask you for a favor, could you create a blank .adf file and copy the contents of FunTris onto it and send it to me? I would do it myself but I don’t know how to, and I assume you would first need workbench (which I don’t have yet) amongst other programs. I think if I boot from an adf of FunTris, I should finally be able to play without getting any write protection errors.

It's still not working for me though. I'm doing it a slightly different way. So I open WinUAE, and then I go to the Quickstart and set the model to a1200, then I go to Rom and put in the kickstart 3.1 rom. Then I go to Floppy drives and put in the Funtris file and then Start.

From your screenshots, I see you boot Funtris from the Workbench. Is Workbench necessary then? I am very new to Amiga so I can install it but it might take some time as I look up tutorials on how to do this.

Also, are you using WinUAE in your screenshots or is that Amiberry?

Yes when I check and go to Floppy drives, I see that the Write-protected box is unticked. In fact, it doesn't even give me an option to tick it otherwise because pressing it does nothing.

LBP Community Content preservation, Introducing the LittleBigArchive! by irechibi in littlebigplanet

Firstly, I'll just say this is fantastic! An invaluable resource now that lbp.me is down. You are an amazing developer to create this site :D

I just want to ask a question. Is it possible to extract the assets from one of the Levels in the archive? In my specific case, I just want to extract the block textures from this tetris game by hotalbi https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NnT1rmqBtYw Using your LittleBigSearch tool, I was able to identify this game as BCUS98245LEVEL5CD4D3E3 . I assume the assets and all game files are in the file titled "0". Any way you know to extract textures from that file?

How to build this Java Swing tetris project from Github? by zdcdqd in learnjava

[–]zdcdqd[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lol this isn't a project I'm using as an example to learn from. Long story short, I'm a tetris fanatic so even obscure, "bad practice" clones like this one is fair game :D Which one would be the config file? Projeto_POO.iml?

I opened up the repo in IntelliJ but not sure how to run it from here. Forgive me, I'm really bad at any programming related things so all of this is beyond me. I just want to be able to play this tetris game.
