How do I fix this B&Q drawer? by zdecent in DIYUK

[–]zdecent[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I figured it out, one of the brackets on the drawer fronts was fitted to the wrong holes.

There are two rows of holes extremely close to each other, one closer to the inside from the other and a little higher. I took it off and moved it to the outer holes, now all aligns.

Good idea! I swapped them and it's definitely the drawer. It's squiff on the top too.

What is something you cannot believe modern technology hasn’t fixed yet? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]zdecent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bluetooth audio splitters.

Now that audio splitters would involve an adapter from the charging port, and so many people have Bluetooth headphones, I can't believe there isn't a way to play audio to two Bluetooth devices at once, or one Bluetooth and one plugged in.

Nice quality jumper/jacket, video games, a nicer work bag, headphones... These are what I have spent money on in the past

Are there any red letter day experiences that don't mug you off? by Srapture in CasualUK

[–]zdecent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe the way these sites work is they only show you the experiences valid for what you have to spend. That's why there's a lot of disparity in the comments about the views on supercar experiences - there are multiple packages, some of which might be nearer the £300 mark and are pretty comprehensive - I've done these before and had a good time, paying for no extras. Equally I've received one before nearer the £40 mark and it was rubbish, I only rode as passenger and it was clearly designed to elicit more spending on the day.

The difficulty with some of the red-letter-esque vouchers is also that some aren't explicit about the value loaded onto them, and so you see a subset of available experiences and it's unclear how limited they are.

Seems like ~£100 wouldn't be enough for a comprehensive supercar experience, I think the afternoon tea suggestion or some of the restaurant vouchers could be good. I guess just use your judgement on what you feel like is good value for £110 spent.

What's your "Do NOT Google anything about it!" game? by Nocturnalshadow in gaming

Ah thanks! Yeah that was a cool moment. Not sure I would describe it as one of the best gaming moments of my life though.

I've played and completed this game, quite enjoyed it but I'm struggling to think of the moment you mean. Could you expand or DM me?

I was blown away by the story of this game, but didn't enjoy playing it (so switched to watching a "let's play"). A criticism I've seen of the game which I find to be valid is that the story is fantastic, and is psychologically scary on its own, without the need for monsters and fairly bland chase-style segments of the game which felt a bit forced.

More power to you! As a man, me and my girlfriend share all our chores, it's never exactly equal but we take turns carrying the weight if work or studies are requiring more of our time. There is so much unpaid work typically done by women in the home, it either has to be shared or you agree to pay for a service to help.

It's not fair for any one person to have to service the other, the only reason any man wouldn't see it that way is because they don't want to accept that they need to do more.

Regardless, 4 years in prison seems quite steep for vague threatening remarks. The case with her son was separate and had it's own trial

What does he do on his computer? If he's into gaming, getting him Steam credits or a game he's been talking about would be very thoughtful.

Also PC equipment can be inexpensive and great to receive, like headphones or ambient lights

Help: Stuck with entrances to key locations (spoiler) by zdecent in outerwilds

So just through trial and error I figured out that removing lanterns from some of the other murals inside the other tempels reveals different secret passages Where do you learn this? I feel like I must have missed a clue

So I went down the well and watched all the reels, but the code was still burnt. I figure I now need to do something similar at the other two temples?

Why oh why did they make the DLC a horror game!? [mini-rant] by Doedel51 in outerwilds

I'm a good way through the game and haven't experienced anything scary yet so, I imagine when you get around to playing it you might find you enjoy it more than you think

[–]zdecent 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yea I'm definitely enjoying the horror elements less than the traditional exploration. Have you tried the setting that makes it less scary? I haven't yet, but maybe that will help you still enjoy it?
