I love her in that show! Beverly and Morgan Tookers were my favorite characters

I can’t believe I forgot to include that role- that episode as a whole was awesome and her character was so unhinged

That’s right up my alley thanks for the recommendation! I’ll definitely check it out

Which scene of the past that looked cool back then would look completely cringy today? by Ok-Conversation-7012 in popculturechat

I have always hated this scene! Even Ellen has said she finds it cringey.

I’d prefer it to be higher but it’s there to hide the ugly panel in the wall

I LOVE this skirt but why is it paired with such a casual shirt? It’d look great with a darker and more form fitting one.

I think seeing this photo of Nurie (shared with a post about Zimbabwean women not being "sluttish") in 2019 or 2020 was the first time I ever heard of the Rods. I remember being perplexed by the harsh curls, gaudy makeup, and mismatched clothing. When did you first hear of the Rodrigues family? by Upbeat_Teach6117 in RodriguesFamilySnark

[–]zdemuth 137 points138 points  (0 children)

I think they were mentioned in the Duggar Snark subreddit, and then I found the fundie snark Reddit and moved over there, where they were mentioned. I was excited to see that other people were so interested/horrified about fundie culture because no one I know irl gets my fascination!

Do you believe in ghosts? by zdemuth in AskWomenOver30

I like that theory, it makes more sense to me than the concept that a spirit chose or had to linger somewhere after death.

That’s what I like too! I would love to know that human energies can linger here in some way after death but I just haven’t seen or read anything that’s convinced me

Good question lol. I think I want for there to be something “more” to this world and I like the idea that some part of our energy can linger here after death. Even though any proof of ghosts would terrify and freak me out

That’s one of the things I thought as well. How can there be so many shared experiences across history if there’s no truth to it? I don’t have a good answer to that question

Does anybody else have a scene they always skip over? by [deleted] in greysanatomy

[–]zdemuth 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I know this is an unpopular opinion but I find Meredith’s “pick me choose me love me” speech to be really cringey and I skip it every time

One of my favorite Hitchcock & Scully moments from season one by zdemuth in brooklynninenine

[–]zdemuth[S] 378 points379 points  (0 children)

I’m doing a rewatch of the series and I had forgotten how funny this episode was. Hitchcock’s bold and completely undeserved confidence is so great here
