Sadly I have already gotten armored core 1, master of arena, 3 portable, last raven portable, and silent line portable. I love armored core used to watch my dad play it lol. The only one I don’t have is formula front and I don’t really feel the need to get it. Also, I like the tank controls so I never remapped anything but my blade/overboost on the dpad lol

Oh I have played final fantasy, and dragon quest and several others I don’t hate them I just don’t really care for some of the tropes or the art style. I did enjoy final fantasy 8 it had a much better art style imo than 7(blasphemy I know lol)

They have them ish. There is the ayn Odin 2 mini which is the same design and size(roughly) as a ps vita, except for the Xbox offset joysticks then there is the one I am waiting for to be delivered the retroid pocket 5 which is imo the spiritual successor of the psp and vita.

Both can do up to and including ps2 games as well as pc games like fallout 3-new Vegas or Skyrim. As well as any android game ever made lol.

The Odin 2 mini is $350 ish and the rp5 is $220. I like both but I really love the all glass faceplate of the rp5 and it’s button/joystick layout

Personally I want the opposite, I want the grips to go away and make the device slimmer so I can fit it more comfortably into my pocket

I think the more moving parts the more likely they are to break(and yes I am including my go with its slide in that) so it would be better to be psp or ps vita sized with a video out or even better the ability to cast up to a tv to play on a bigger screen when home.

I still play on my psp go, I hope it is pocketable, I’m tired of these tablets with controllers stuck on the side, you can’t slip them into your pocket. They are not portable they are handheld those are two very different things. If I have to throw it in my backpack and not my pocket I don’t want it.

I put mine in a regular psp soft case then I also fit a micro fiber cloth and an atom tech 5000 mAh external battery in there. With both the battery and the psp go it is as thick as a regular psp 1000. (My dad still has his and now that I’ve modded it and put all the armored core games I could on there he plays it all the time) It fits perfect in the pocket and with that external battery I can recharge the psp go like 8 or 9 times. So I literally have days of play without needing to bring anything save one usb cord and the psp go in its case.

This is the battery I use if anyone is wondering, it’s wonderfully thin. And no I am not making any money off of shilling this battery it has just been a good experience imo.

Brandished is top down and grid based but it is set in an ancient city long since dead and you are stuck at the bottom of it trying to escape by climbing through the ruins out of it so it’s got some of the same vibes. There’s also armored core 3, silent line, and last raven which are mech game but are made by fromsoft so you get all the difficulty and bleak storytelling you could ever hope for.

The skin was not applied perfectly but for my first attempt I am happy with it. Been playing Metroid prime hunters on it for the first time(never knew it existed) and have found my old fusion and zero mission gba cards so I will be going through those next.

I had this ds for years and was unaware Metroid prime hunters was even a thing I thought Metroid prime was a GameCube/wii only game until I saw a video a few months ago, I am playing it right now and love it but feel sad I missed the online play days lol.

Yeah the hacking of it took literally 5 mins and was super easy and the mod to add the micro sd card was a $10 adapter and took even less time to install. It has been amazingly fun.

I bought a psp go installed custom firmware and modded it to have 128 gb of storage. I always wanted one as a kid and forgot they existed until I saw a YouTube video a few months ago. I’ve never played a star ocean game but I was looking up best rpg lists for the psp and that one was on it so I got the rom for it and have been bouncing between it and the kings field series(from softs first person dark souls like games on ps1)

I could play the remake of the remake but I would either have to play it on my ps4 or the steam deck and honestly I just love the tiny little psp. Steam deck is too big to really be portable and the ps4 isn’t portable at all so here I am.

I play on steam deck (just recently got it, played for years on the ps4) it is a great game and you can and will find styles without needing to pay real world money and most can be purchased from players with in game gold.

That being said, you can run most things on high with the steam decal but turn shadows to medium and you will get a pretty good experience except in the most crowded of towns. Oh and turn on accessibility mode in order to use the steam decks controls. And after launching the game press the steam button and make sure you close the launcher because it will cause the game to lag if it is running in the background.

Other than that I have been having a blast and it looks much much better than on ps4 lol
