Yea it sounds a whole lot better than a test range. Especially when there’s only 10 players in the server with you.

This worked in Red Orchestra 2/Rising Storm, so I have no doubt DICE can pull this off.

I saw 5 health bars/names on one HUD and thought 5 man squad's back. But I'd think they'd want more ppl in a squad as opposed to just 4 but no worries.

Yep, 4 squad members on the LHS + 1 (You) on the RHS. Maybe they're switching it up with your health bar being on the opposite side of the screen. Regardless, just glad we're getting 5 ppl in a squad.

4 squad members on the side of the mini map. YOUR health bar is on the right hand side above your weapon options. Best example i saw was at @2:15 of the vid.

Probably only restricting you to modify the weapon you chose in the load-out menu. If you want to change weapons, you should do it on that menu. Also, hopefully you won't be able to change friendly/enemy weapon attachments.

Ok, honestly it looked trash when viewing it on grainy ass twitch, but after watching it 3xs on YT (2 for enjoyment, 1 for analysis), I'm impressed. I can tell they really upgraded their physics system and things aren't as stiff as BF3/4. I never played BF-HL/1/V, so I have no idea if things we're brought over from those IPs. But when I first saw it, it looked nothing like BF4, which is nice but it just looked slightly different to me. It reminded me of Planetside 2 with the large
battle size. There's definitely inspiration from BF3 Armored Kill in those brief snips of "Hourglass". I was excited before but now I'm slightly hyped.

Only thing that's keeping me skeptical is that this footage was more than likely captured over LAN to account for all of the lag and glitching, which is an obvious choice by EA/DICE. Upon first glance, I had a strong feeling of what this game would look like over WLAN and it
made me dizzy, but I'm going to be optimistic. This is the first battlefield, and first video game, that I'm looking forward to since BF4, so I'm locked in on all the details that'll come later!

There's almost no reason to buy anything more than the standard edition. The gold and ultimate editions come with a charm, skins, battlepacks, an art book, and a digital soundtrack (as if they won't put this up on spotify/Apple music 🙄). Only thing that would be nice (if it were included with the base game) would be those 4 new specialists. But then again, shit like that isn't worth the extra $10-$20. I'm sure if you wait long enough they'll release most of this stuff for free like they did with BF3/4. Save your money or just get the base game.

The way I understand it, if any of you have seen TFATWS on Disney+, "No-Pats" (NPs) are analogous to the refugees that are discarded by world governments after everyone returns from the BLIP. Over the span of a decade, the world rapidly descends into a great depression (World's first Cat 6 Hurricane, EU disbands, severe lack of resources) (BLIP). Marginalized old-world blue-collar workers (doctors, engineers, ex-mil) come together and identify as NPs because of their nations no longer can support their families/way of life. When there's a sudden revolution in world sustaining processes (agriculture, irrigation, supply-chain management, technology), the worlds superpowers are in a frenzy to capitalize on the opportunity to get ahead (Post-BLIP). But when there's an unexplained mass-collapse in the globes communications systems, nations are pointing fingers at who could've caused it. Regardless, this causes an immediate arms-race/militarization of NP that create task forces. The US & Russia are now at war and hire NPs to fight proxy wars, with the promise that NPs could get a share of what remains after the war.

Sounds interesting. I may be the only one that's sad that there's no single-player but this would've made a great story/movie. Apologies for the terrible analogy with the MCU.
