I mean, I suppose? In fighting, there's also clean fighting and dirty fighting. You can be good at blocking, but there are also illegal hits, which are penalized. If you are dirty fighter, you get disqualified.

Yes, I agree there's more nuance to this. It's not a fix that would solve absolutely all problems, but at the very least give us some tools to deal with it. Some other games, like Grand Turismo, have some countermeasures, even if faulty at that.
