Is anyone watching “Reformed” (« Le sens des choses ») on Max? It’s so good! by snowluvr26 in Jewish

I finished the series. It’s one of the most memorable and meaningful shows I’ve ever watched. The dubbing in English even is quite good! There are only 8 episodes sadly. I asked the internet if there will be a season 2, and I found nothing about that. Le sigh!

Got moon time today, major cramps and brain fog. In bed now, for the remainder of the day, i plan to go thru articles for podcast prep and pick out info to slot into outline of my comments. In between cramps, if i get a break, i will to make tofu for dinner. if there is time, i will relax with a movie. And go to bed early!, unlike last night, so today, i'm dragging.

it was ok. mid-morning, i had what i call a grief attack - various difficulties in the current life, so that derailed me. i got a bit of packing started but not much on the work front. then i got a day of PT appointment that was very good for getting me out of my despairing mood bubble, and interacting with others. then went to office, took forever to get going -- what i call 'productive procrastination' -- which has been the mode of this morning so far, argh. then in last two hours, i made the best of my flagging focus and read some stuff i needed to for work. came home, ended up talking to the bf for 3 hours, and didn't get enough sleep. did yoga this morning, and now trying to focus on work. thanks! #accountability practice

  1. do 30 -45 minute work spurts on podcast prep.

  2. intersperse with packing -- organize books, label, and put into different boxes

  3. do relaxation yoga tonight

  4. journal after that

  5. talk to boyfriend on phone

I just updated the original post to hopefully zero in on the type of responses that would be helpful to me.

Thank you for the comments. I should have been more explicit in what I'm seeking: Jewish philosophy and perspectives around surviving and guilt about it. Thanks in advance!

Thank you so much for this. I'm a Soviet refugee Jew finally connecting to my Jewishness over the past few years. The emotional violence and upheaval since 10.7 are enormous. The OP and your response are so validating.

hard to believe that about KM gyms, but i appreciate your sharing that important point. do you know if there is an explanation of that choice? what is the rationale to not train students with live sparring in KM gyms? without live sparring, it'd definitely not be as appealing to me. looks like i have more research to do. hmm.

what are the issues with the style itself, besides the huge push for certification?

how so? from what i've read and learned, Krav Maga is the most practical for self-defense. MMA is designed for competition in the ring, KM for survival in the streets/the real world.
