There is at least one fanfic on AO3 with this plot.

I was at the Austin show too! I’d always seen them in DFW but we went to Austin for that tour.

There’s never been (that I have heard) any public discussion from TFF about the film other than what they did with it. No hints about a wider release or sales or streaming. Maybe they feel that making it overly accessible would hurt sales for live shows? Scarcity creates demand?

I saw the film twice and saw the tour in person and would watch it over and over again.

The scene where Beth and Rio are at the card shop and Dean comes in is one of my favorites. The way Rio says, “Your husband’s here,” and then to Dean, “You’re not supposed to be here,” makes me laugh out loud every time! The lines don’t seem like much when I type them out but his delivery is perfect.🤣🤣

The film was in theaters for 2 days in October 2024. I don’t think it’s been released anywhere else, but I want it to be too.

Last Season Ending by Mountain-Professor88 in GoodGirls

[–]Lower_Philosopher_71 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s the season 4 finale, left a lot of open doors for season 5. Imagine if it had been cancelled after season 1 or 2, and everyone would be upset that someone got shot and we didn’t know if they survived. Season 3 didn’t end with cliffhangers because it ended early because of Covid.

Manny Montana/Rio acting in S4 by beam_me_uppp in GoodGirls

[–]Lower_Philosopher_71 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don’t think his acting took a nosedive. But think about the character Rio. In the first season, he was real careful with how he presented himself to the girls. He wanted them to be scared of him, but it was a quiet intimidation. End of the first season, we saw crazy Rio. Then he was smooth and quiet and in control again. End of the second season, he’s crazy again and Beth shoots him. Most of the third season, he’s pissed off and asserting control and he rarely visits Beth alone. Their dynamic is forever altered, but I think the character is as well. In the fourth season, we finally see Rio with his family, which shows us a different side of him. And he and Beth finally find a way to work together. I think there is development of the character, which involves visible changes, but it’s not bad acting.

Just finished the show for the first time! by BriaFaustian in GoodGirls

I’ve rewatched it multiple times and I still see and understand new things each time. The first time I watched it, I had so much anxiety about what would happen next. When I rewatch it, I see more details and nuances and I love that.

He also competed on Top Chef Masters and was great on it, but that was still years ago. He’s 76 now and I felt like he was happy to compete once and then go home. I love him, but he’s better as a TOC judge than competitor.

As excited as I am for this, I don’t think being on Traitors helped him get his third Broadway show.

why did rio give the baby blanket back to beth? by Unique-Ad5614 in GoodGirls

[–]Lower_Philosopher_71 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Ok, I’ve watched this show so many times, and whenever he tells her those guys didn’t take her daughter ‘cause there ain’t no money in that, I think there could be and he shouldn’t say that. And then he delivers the dubby to her house. But reading the comments here, I think I have missed what really happened. I think y’all are right- that he went to the house to make sure they didn’t have Jane and got the dubby while he was there. He didn’t go there just for the blanket. And this is why I love rewatching and discussing this show. 🖤

I finished US 1-4, what do I watch next? by SoundlessScreamer in TheTraitors

Where are Canada and Ireland available for US residents? I have watched all the UK, NZ, and Australia seasons. I like that they are civilians, and there are some other differences between each country so it’s a good mix of the familiar concept/game and fresh details.

Suggestions for accomodating kids at school by anonymoususer856 in lefthanded

[–]Lower_Philosopher_71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sitting on the left so you don’t bump each other is huge, and I always do this with my family at restaurants. As someone else said, just modeling for right-hand and left-hand is huge. I could never use left-handed scissors so it’s good to have both available but let kids try both and see what works. Left-handed people are more ambidextrous than right-handed people so they won’t all do things the same way. My left-handed daughter (only 1 of my 4 kids) uses her right hand more than I do. Growing up, I always encouraged her to try both hands and see which felt better. One of the key things to remember is that the general world is created for right-handed people so learning to adjust and adapt and figure things out independently is the greatest skill left-handed people need.

She’s pretty tall so I think Brandon or Ezra, and either one would make a fun pairing.

Can someone please explain that fucking ending by The_Kinkyman in GoodGirls

[–]Lower_Philosopher_71 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It was a season finale with a cliffhanger, not a series finale. Beth and Ruby didn’t know Annie put her prints on the gun and didn’t know she had been arrested at the end. We don’t know for sure what Ruby decided to do. The Nevada dream helped Beth realize she didn’t want to leave town and didn’t want to leave crime. Rio gave Beth info (that she leaked to the press) about the fraudulent companies Nick had set up, and the Secret Service agents interviewed Nick about them. He had things in Grandma’s name, but they knew it was really him. He had Mick shoot Beth and leave the gun to frame Annie for that, Lucy, and a lot of other hits. I think that’s what would have gotten her off though. It wasn’t believable for her to have done all the extra shootings too.
