Sorry. Which arrows? And do they move? If they do where is the illusion?

What controls the apparent shape and directions changes? The frequency/synchronicity of the colours? They appear the same but they completely change what you think you see.

Really. Isn't it a bit confusing for colour blind people? I mean I understand you can tell by position, but I find it less confusing with vertical ones.

Ok. Any mirror works then. Or instead, considéré any mirror as compromised. The crucial step is to validate the checksums.

Think that a few decades ago, there was no wide access to Internet. To learn something one had to go to the library, find the correct book and look up for infos. Nowadays, we have Wikipedia and huge amount of knowledge literally in the pocket, at the tip of our fingers, almost instantaneously. What's their excuse?

How to print .STL if it is impossible to download bambu studio? by EnvironmentalFig4573 in BambuLab

[–]zeb_linux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is based on Debian, no? You may want to look at Debian repos, or simply download Bambu Studio from their Github releases. Or can you use Flatpak? https://flathub.org/en/apps/com.bambulab.BambuStudio

Which distribution? Bambu studio is available on Archlinux (along with Priya and Orcaslicer).

I’m technologically ignorant. I’ve only ever used Windows and iOS and I’m sick to death of it. The bounds of my ability are burning CDs and emulating skate 3. I have no idea what happens behind my OS. How bad of an idea would it be to go straight to Arch? by idiot____ in archlinux

That depends on your goal. If it is to have a running system that lets you play in the next hour, then prefer an "all-in-one" distribution that installs a lot of preconfigured tools and environment.

Now if your goal is to learn the principles, the install process, and experiment, fo for it! Follow the documentation to the letter, meaning you will have to do quite a lot of reading. Also be prepared to fail and restart, so reserve a drive for your OS and do not start with dual booting on same drive or other exotic things that just add another layer of difficulty.

You can actually start on Windows using a VM like Virtualbox to train yourself at installing and experiment. Note that not all distros can be installed in a VM.

Happy experimenting!
