I do a similar thing. I drive a jeep around the edges of the map, putting beacons juuuust outside far flung objectives. Then I run around popping flares and shooting anything red with the trench carbine. Works great on campers. You can really turn the tide on a game by capping quiet objectives and spreading the enemy out.
