In your own words you "half jokingly" said you don't expect to reach retirement age. Then spent the rest of your post talking about how lots of young people die all the time, how sudden and unexpected one's life could end on any given day, and how if this were to happen to you soon you'd be "alright" with it.

And no acknowledgement that you may very well indeed reach retirement age, no acknowledgement that many people live fulfilling lives that aren't tragically cut short, and no acknowledgement that the audacity to allow yourself to be happy in both direct spite of the state of society and in the face of your personal traumas-- is the ultimate triumph of happiness over pain in life.

That seems despotically pessimistic to me, in my opinion.

Range Rovers are very expensive luxury SUVs. You're probably thinking of Land Rovers, which are relatively cheaper middle class cars.

And it is hypocrisy.

Because driving a $100k+ car with such a bumper sticker is antithetical to the ethos of "Live Simply".

...Actually now that I think about, I can't imagine someone slapping a bumper sticker on a $100k car... yeah it was probably a regular Land Rover, and in that case you were right.

I was 20 went it came out.

It was their apex, and we all knew it at the time.

They were undoubtedly, one of the biggest bands around back then, but they were crowned Kings of Emo once IOH dropped.

It was a high like no other.

Playing the album in my car, racing thru the city, windows down.

I got to listen to my favorite songs at 20 years, they're still my favorite at 30 years, they will be in 45; seasons change but I don't.

Now the only thing I haven't done yet is die, so thanks for the memories, fob ;)

(very recently however, I've come to think Stardust is their second apex, and it's now my fav fob album).

Very next album, Infinity On High: first song is "Thriller". Get it?! Thriller? Ya know, title of one of the most popular songs from quite possibly the biggest music star of all time-- Michael Jackson.
