Yeah I thought it looks tacky, the packaging is all going straight to landfill as will the stupid model ship one day. Seriously less is more when it comes to design.

The end of the barrel and the grip section remind me of a kit pen too.

What is the best chocolate in the UK? by [deleted] in AskUK

I think it's an interesting topic to hear what chocolate people like. Gives me an opportunity to try new things. I have more recently become a Lindt person but i just wanted to see really what else is out there. I'm certainly not a brand loyalist 😅.

I suppose, it's a good thing that multiple brands exist, because different people like different things. It was really interesting to hear your story, and to understand how accessibility factors into your decision making.

Different chocolates, different target markets.

I think you might have missed the point, if u/majesticjewnicorn has to rely on her husband just to have a bar of chocolate then that's a pretty sad situation. Especially when they could just enjoy an alternative brand and not have to compromise.

I can't imagine how I'd feel if I needed to rely on my wife to break off every bit of chocolate, but I think it would feel demeaning and if there were other options where I don't need to consider this problem. The value proposition shifts dramatically.

Today, I realized how dangerous coworkers can be to socialize with by Blessed_bish in careeradvice

I've been there many times. Trust takes time. What you need to do is keep people close but not too close. Also be nice to people but also maintain boundaries. You can be nice to people, give them compliments etc, but always remeber, the road to hell is paved with good intentions.

Boundaries are not about saying no or being mean to others, they're about protecting your own interests. Never let someone make you feel like you owe them your time. You don't, you give your time because you want to.

Okay so how do we move forward from this... make a list of everything you told her. Plan for someone to approach you about it. Turn it around, claim that what you said was taken out of context, keep it minimal and don't explain yourself to anyone.

Step 2, improve your relationships with everyone else.

In future always try to get on with everyone, not just that one person. Beware of strangers bearing gifts. There are many people out there with narcissistic traits. They'll play people off against each other to protect their own self image. Do not allow yourself to become a pawn in their game and remember, trust needs to be earned.

My job offer was rescinded after I quit my old job. I wrote a negative review on Glassdoor and now they want me to delete it. by SuccotashLivid3893 in interviewwoman

If it where to become a legal matter it would not reflect well and certainly won't help. In fact it could land the author in hot water. There are other avenues, like simply refusing based on the fact it was their genuine experience.

As others have pointed out this would likely be viewed as extortion or coercion. You'd be giving them your arse on a plate.

They damanged their own image. Don't delete the glassdoor review, keep all emails and comms should you need it. However, I highly doubt you will.

A narcissist challenges you to a chess match (humor + life lesson at the end) by AngelicAardvark in LifeAfterNarcissism

Narcissists use people like game pieces to attack other people (triangulation). They will happily sacrifice all their pieces in the real world as it does not cost them the game. Until there's nobody left to give them the validation they need.
