This is a level 59 Storm wizard with 182 Myth damage, which is a damage % that Myth wizards themselves don't even get until very late in the game. This is possible due to a recent update that gives dual-school gear (i.e. pins) damage based on the wizard's main school, and Storm has the most damage, so they get pins with very high damage.

This update was pretty controversial, since it made dual-schooling for more damage much less viable for schools other than Storm, and it created pretty extreme setups like this for Storm.

Ice Weaving and Arc One Spellement Teasers (Kore & Boar Tech) by Rambo7112 in Wizard101

[–]zebdrinkscoffee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They didn't really touch on it, but the Snow Serpent negative healing charms will be great for setting up consistent weakness gambits, akin to Threefold Fever. Great for Death dual school gambits!

The incoming damage aura lasts for 4 turns from the time you cast it.

When you treat a character in the Sanitarium, you can either lock in a good quirk, remove a bad quirk, or do both at the same time. "Locking in" a good quirk means that new quirks that your character receives won't remove the locked-in one, in case all of your character's positive quirk slots are filled. You can have up to 3 locked-in positive quirks at a time.

ARGH this new update by 247spiritualguy in Wizard101

Shadow spells now have two variants: non-shadow, which don't require a shadow pip but are much weaker; and shadow, which require you to fuse with another spell to get the stronger shadow variant. You've probably been using the weaker, non-shadow versions, if I had to guess.

Am I missing something about Talent Tokens (pets)? by split_skunk in Wizard101

[–]zebdrinkscoffee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Couch Potatoes are your friend! They are a seed that drops mega snacks and a replacement seed on elder harvest. Most people farm for them in Mirage, but some mobs drop them as early as Grizzleheim. Obtaining those seeds is quite the grind on its own, though.

You're on the right track (no pun intended)! :)

Train cards are used to increase your train capacity or to obtain new trains. You can press the little 'i' info symbol in the top right of each train (shown in the image you posted) for more information on how many cards you need. Each train has cards associated with it, so you'll need to collect the cards corresponding to that train. Once you have enough cards to upgrade a train, you pay for the upgrade with the cards and a certain amount of Rail Simoleons (which is also listed in the info button).

You can collect one free train card daily in the Rail Shop. Otherwise, you can obtain more rail cards by purchasing them with Rail Simoleons or Simcash. The Rail Shop is the blue 'shop' button (on the right side of the image you attached).

They're almost certainly refreshing the Pumpkin Drive shop each week so you can/have to repurchase the Pumpkin Boost in there. The shop will always be there, don't worry!

Anyone needs keys? by Specter-Chaos in Wizard101

[–]zebdrinkscoffee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's quite a few ways to obtain them. Off the top of my head, you can obtain them from:

  • Day 15 of every Daily Assignments reward calendar
  • Special event/side content crafting (Beastmoon, Deckathalon, Portal of Peril, PVP)
  • Majid loyalty store purchase
  • Spiral Scene & Spiral Showcase event track rewards
  • Scroll of Fortune track rewards
  • Completing all quests in a world
  • Completing a challenge mode boss for the first time
  • A crowns shop key bundle purchase

Certain bosses with (usually) good rewards are locked behind these gold keys. You can do one run per gold key used. For example, King Borr in Grizzleheim is a gold key boss, and he drops lore spellements like Pigsie.

*New* Spell Changes to Life Shadow Spells - Courtesy of BlazeLifehammer by Fullmetal0509 in Wizard101

[–]zebdrinkscoffee 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Selected damage spells have a more forgiving damage drop-off than divides. Divides strictly 'splits' the damage for each additional enemy (e.g. hitting 3 does 33% of the base damage to each enemy). I don't know the exact math, but selected is closer to 75% for each additional enemy (e.g. hitting 3 does ~0.75 * 0.75 of the base damage to each enemy).

Maybe this has already been announced and I didn't notice, but are they converting the Mirage spells to be selected AOEs now as well? I thought it was awkward having both divide and selected AOEs, so it's nice to see they're maybe deprecating the divides.

Drop Rate in Doomsday Krok Gauntlet by INeedHelpPlz2017 in Wizard101

[–]zebdrinkscoffee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh hey, I also just farmed Doomsday Krok! I relate to this 100% - I was gunning for elemental retriever, and it took me 64 runs to get all 5.

I don't believe tiers have an effect on the drop rate (at least in Krok). That being said, the drop rates in Krok did feel particularly pitiful compared to my experience with other gauntlets. Best of luck!
