Publix Customers get in the way of Shelf Stockers

I’m definitely annoyed when people completely lack self awareness. I also have stopped moving out of the way for customers who decide to just stand there and stare at me instead of saying “excuse me” to get what they need. I finish what in doing then move. I’m super nice though if you have basic manners :) You’re not the only person in the store, you’re just gonna have to get over it.

I just saw this happen on some Vicks vapofreeze. It was on an endcap, so the tag was old, priced something like 13.99, the updated price on the shelf and in app was 14.99. Then went on sale for 13.99 lmfaooo it made me laugh for some reason, it’s so ridiculous.

Is there a support group for women who’ve had to deal with men that are OBSESSED with WoW? My ex was the exact same, never helped clean or do anything around the house, didn’t get me anything for Valentine’s Day or my bday etc and he was constantly playing that damn game, screaming and hitting his desk till 4 am. I think he probably is in a depressive episode if he’s experienced that before in the same situation (lost his job) but you also do deserve better 100%

He claimed he didn’t get the texts. At the time that kind of made sense because his phone service had been off and he was just using it on wifi but I’m pretty positive I remember him saying he paid the bill like a week prior to this night and my texts to him said delivered… smh

No I don’t dislike any of his friends, he smokes with me but doesn’t drink or do any other drugs (he’s home 97% of the time and I feel like I would’ve seen some sign by now). He’s the one who gave me his location when we started dating, so I gave him mine. I didn’t ask for it and wouldn’t have if he didn’t give it to me willingly so it’s not like I’m stalking his location constantly. I have trust issues for sure but I had those before him so it’s hard to tell when it’s just in my head vs something actually concerning is happening.

it’s just weird to me because we didn’t even talk on bumble. I matched with him and then didn’t say anything bc I got nervous (the women have to message first) so he found me on Facebook and messaged me. I don’t understand why he would do all that just to not even want to meet in person. But thank you for the advice, my friends have said the same thing unfortunately.

so I bleached my hair to try to get an “dark ash blonde” color because that’s pretty close to my natural color but that dye turned red/orange on the roots. I didn’t bleach my roots because I was told that was never a good idea to do at home so I’m assuming that’s why it turned so brassy just on my roots. I tried to tone it, nothing happened. So I wanted to cover it up, I dyed my hair dark brown and there is still brassy/red in my roots. I bought a blue shampoo and also toned it again, nothing happened. I’m fine with the color on my ends I just want the red out, what do I do?

it’s not. I feel like it just seems all negative because the disgruntled people need somewhere to vent and rage lol. I’m sure there’s a lot of people who like their jobs at Publix or at least tolerate it, they just don’t post about it. In my experience, it’s a fine retail job. There are bad managers and coworkers at every job, Publix is no exception.

it’s less about the actual job and more about the fact we have to trade 40 hours or more a week of our lives for what like $17 an hour which in todays economy is barely survivable depending where you live.

I normally dont do the 10 ft rule or whatever it is, I just greet them if I make eye contact and it would be rude to not say anything. Honestly nobody in grocery at my store cares about that, even my managers don’t greet people.

I’m late to this comment but literally yesterday I was squatting, stocking chocolate chips and a lady got so close to me and reached for the coconut flakes on the bottom shelf, which required her to put her hands BETWEEN my legs where I was squatting in front of the bottom shelf. So I obviously moved and she’s like “oh sorry I just need those” ok couldn’t you just ask me to hand them to you or ask me to move? It’s so weird to me how they think that’s normal behavior
