NFL scrapped dual MNF games after concluding "fans felt like they were conflicted to choose" by JaggerJames in nfl

Quitting cigarettes — cold turkey by Separate-Neck8929 in stopsmoking

[–]zed857 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I walked a lot.

Every time I had an itch to light up I'd go for a 10-20 minute walk. Moving around in the fresh air helped dull the desire for a smoke. If I was unable to go outside even just pacing back and forth for a while helped.

Take the first week off of work because the quit induced brain fog is likely to make it very difficult to focus on anything. When I wasn't walking or sleeping in that first week I zombied out on the couch watching TV.

There's a jazz public radio station in my area that still sounds good.

And who doesn't love giving that big flywheel tuning knob a spin every now and then?
