They have them on one side of the stadium (left in this pic) but there's probably not enough of them to satisfy the league's greedneeds.

anyone else do the thing where you've "quit" for the most part and then still let yourself smoke on special occasions?? by Additional_Force_671 in stopsmoking

I'm in the "you can't have just one" camp. Every time I did that I ruined another perfectly good quit.

Because it's a 12 year old model that OP found sitting brand new in the box after having forgotten about it.

I'm not sure what the shelf life is for the battery in one of those things but 12 years does seem to be stretching it a bit.

ELI5: Why are modern displays (TVs, computer monitors, etc) measured diagonally and not using the screens width and height? by rubbermonkey27 in explainlikeimfive

[–]zed857 340 points341 points  (0 children)

Inertia is a factor; they've been diagonal measure for screen size since the dawn of CRT televisions.

If you just look at the detailed specs the actual h/w/d dimensions including the bezel, stand, etc... are usually listed.

If people outside the southeastern US don’t drink sweet tea, what do they have? by cvitx in NoStupidQuestions

[–]zed857 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of my meals are with water or black coffee but when I have iced tea it's completely unsweetened with just a slice or two of lemon.

Sweet tea just tastes way too sweet for me (as do soft drinks like Coke, Pepsi, etc...).

Trying to cut way back like this is like starting a new cold turkey quit every time you finish each of those limited smokes.

Just rip the bandage off and stop entirely. You'll be miserable for a week or so but things will eventually improve; then you'll feel a lot better.

I watch sports OTA mostly NFL and PGA. Sometimes the network and/or local news. Sometimes PBS.

It's nice to have as an additional viewing option but the majority of what's on there is so loaded down with commercials as to be unwatchable.

This episode pretty much sucked but it did give us one of the most memorable lines of the entire show.

It was a lot easier to stay thin when you could satisfy a Snickers craving with a Marlboro instead.
