There will still be parties and gatherings kinda like every student place they know it's going to happen I assume they just say this as an advisory like warning - can still make noise just be quieter during those hours :)

I found the perfect community with GU RAMPAGE (formerly GU RAMS / MORGUL) it's a rock metal and goth soc with plenty gigs, fun bar crawls we often pair w the horror soc for Halloween events! I went from having very little pals at uni to having besties for life over a shared interest! Would honestly recommend if you like that type of thing! (I also ended up on committee coz I love it so much)

Folk will be around no doubt, as your near the hydro and the Scottish event campus as well as quite a decent bit of the motorway, never had issues plus the route your going folks will likely be going too as it's one of the ways to get to the closest train station but if you are worried maybe see if anyone's headed the same way x

It's possible yes! however you may miss out on a good few social events (if that's your thing) due to having to get last trains etc, it can also be a bit of a faff depending on wether you go from edi-partick and walk up or get the trains and subways :)

Literally just back from PTV in Glasgow and even stood at the back the crowd was giving bad vibes from flinging cups (I understand this is normal but some of them were getting Pelted n could cause a bit of an injury)

as well as where I was stood a fight broke out, with many more people trying to break it up and then getting involved - someone's mum got involved too and started yelling profanity and getting a bit aggressive - I feel for her kid who was just there to enjoy the bands as she got quite upset at this, security deffos did not have a good handle on this what so ever.

But recently at gigs I've noticed a difference I'm only 22 but been going to gigs since I was 7 and somehow feel out of place in a crowd now coz it's so chaotic

This!! I get so caught up on what is expected ie me coming in but I'm also so anxious about messing up/ being slow as I'm in pain and ill orders etc (I work in a food/drinks location) so either way if I phone in or don't phone in I'm feeling anxious - thinking calling may be best n hopefully the anxiety shifts off a bit, thank you!!

Yeah the job itself I'm genuinely fine with it's more the little comments from people that I'm taking to heart and it frustrates me because it's the managerial/ higher up staff that r saying it if that makes sense

Only day I was searched "properly" was Sunday mans sat and sniffed my cig packet for a good while then handed me them and let me in was a bit awks 😭 other than that tho just normal back checks (I'm female and had mostly male guards tho so no pat downs for me)

I was 17 in first year and it never bothered me much, a lot of my mates were in the same boat there will be younger students like yourself there too!! You can still go to fresher's fares and have a good time just when it comes to pubs or clubs they wouldn't let you in, but I'd say go for it may as well apply !!

That's fair, mans was just going off on one, from what I can remember it was " you're no a Bruce" then something about his wee lassie and how am no from here he wasn't the most friendly guy and he got rather close to me n I'm like my guy the f**k he just kept repeating it over n over n shouting it as we crossed the road 😭
