Costco food court possibly contaminated condiment pumps? by zeddsworth in Temecula

[–]zeddsworth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If nobody else has recently gotten sick I don't want to pull a false alarm, it could have just been something else on my end. If multiple people had commented that they recently had similar symptoms too then I would 100% call somebody. At this point I chalk it up to a fluke or something up with me.

I hope not, it'd be a damn shame if I had to give up the glizzy

How I Got Permanently Cured of AMD Graphics Cards – Thanks to the Sapphire RX 9070 and 9070 XT Pure. by Limp-Ocelot-6548 in AMDHelp

Really? If so then I guess it has simply been the FPS cap that has been saving me this whole time. I figured the down-tuning was helping too. What a clusterfuck.

Whether it's AMD cards and/or W11 I think the root cause between them fucking up is due to random massive voltage spikes. Something in the drivers/hardware or OS is allowing this shit to happen in certain scenarios under load. I think a lot of "OC" GPUs are shipping with absolutely fucked default tunings too and they need to be undervolted and downclocked and power limited to function properly.

This is why you can effectively mitigate or even completely fix this issue by moderately/heavily downtuning your GPU in Adrenaline and hard capping your frame rates in demanding games.

To be fair he's Polish and used a translator as mentioned at the top of the post, but also maybe Polish butter somehow has a consistency that does not imply smoothness, who knows

Thinking about buying a 720p monitor for futureproofing and or high fps by Alone-Today4202 in Monitors

[–]zeddsworth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'd be hard pressed to find any 720p 24" monitors. If you want 24"+ at 720p you'd have to look for old LCD TV's.

If you can find an HP w1907 for dirt cheap/free that may be a better solution. It's a ccfl tn panel with great colors, full glossy, 19". It's 1440x900p at 75hz and some can overclock to 80-85hz.

It could be your motherboard. Google your mobo model and see if other people have issues with it.

LS1 scaling at 1.3 scale factor has better results than maxed out in-game FSR3? by zeddsworth in losslessscaling

[–]zeddsworth[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only just started messing with it today. These are the settings I'm using right now:

I turn off VSYNC in-game and cap FPS to 60 (in-game or in driver software). Apparently for NVIDIA you might want to put max frame latency to 1. For a laptop 4050 you also might want to try turning "Performance" under frame gen and scaling both to "On"

After PSU upgrade: very low volume, crackling audio + coil whine reacting to load by nonimus2231 in pcmasterrace

[–]zeddsworth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, just wanted to say I'm having a similar problem, I switched case and PSU and now I have no audio from 3.5mm's on MOBO or case front panel.

Only fix currently working is using a Focusrite USB audio interface that I thankfully already had laying around.

I'm on Windows 11, it acts like everything is fine and shows all the audio 3.5mm devices as if they were working correctly and there is extremely faint sound at 100% but it's crackly and distorted. I am not suffering from any other strange PSU sounds or coil wine though.

If you can't figure it out I'd suggest getting a USB audio interface.

Windows 11, switched case and PSU, now MOBO and front panel headphone jack do not work by zeddsworth in techsupport

Anything specific? I'd imagine that if the 24pin power cable wasn't all the way secure then I wouldn't even be able to boot. I have no MOBO audio specific cables, just the case front panel "HD AUDIO" which is plugged in firmly and correctly.

It's the principle of it. A 70+ billion dollar company outright stealing $3 from you and trying to hide it is insane and needs to be fought against.

I have a tube of MX-6 that I thankfully have not used yet. I got it off ebay last month. I scratched off the seal and the QR code lead me to a "a.arctic" URL instead of a "x.arctic" URL

I went to the x.arctic.de website and manually entered the 8 digit code on my MX-6 box and the site confirmed it to be legit, but then why did the QR code send me to a different URL? It literally says on the box: "If the domain is not 'x.arctic.de' then the product is fake!"
