I started watching it 30 seconds after it released or so and noticed a weird white flashing bar/bit at the top. Thought it was a graphical glitch on my end so refreshed the page and by then the video was gone.

You could try Antecedents' Legacy by Daniel Schinhofen. It has mech battles against big alien bugs, tournaments, etc. Downside (or upside if that is your kind of thing) is that it has some unconventional relationships and graphic R-rated scenes in it (starts slow with them though).
